We have a highflow cat that fits now. You would have to weld it in though. Call for details cause it is not on the website.

Everything seems to happen after I buy it

BTW...what is the rattling or buzzing in my muffler after putting the downpipe on any idea what actually causes this?

Naaaa. You can get the weld in highflow cat $99. It would be a separate add on anyway. Just call us.

How much gains would you lose by putting this highflow cat in?

That's what I thought but I'm just wondering if anyone has actually dynoed it. I'm guessing it would only be a 1-2 hp loss though.

I would think more than that, as removing the cat is the largest source of gains in the downpipe.

Ok, so what would be the point of the DP if you put a cat on it. I was under the impression that it lets the exhaust flow more because it takes away the bottle neck design that mitsu used on the stock DP right after the header and increases the diameter of the pipe. I wouldn't think that adding a highflow cat would take away that much power if that's the case.

with a high flow cat youd be legal as most states require cats, plus emmissions... trust me w/ no cat is smells like crazy....

i read once w/ the use of a "high" flo the loss is 1-2 hp not enough imo to justify removing it.... the negatives outweigh the positive....

lastly i can only imagine its gonna sound bad w/ out the cat cause the cat muffles alot o f the sound....

That's what I was saying. I know you need one for emissions and that it muffles the sound but if it took too much of the gains away then what would be the point in buying the DP with cat? Also, from what I've been hearing, they are going to be getting rid of all emissions here in CO in the next few years so I'm hoping that I wont have to worry about the cat and just throw a resonator on it.

PRolly won't lose much. Cat prolly take 1-2 off the peak but add some in the midrange. The point is now you have choices. And I will not dyno it. Got bigger fish to fry than this right now.

I didn't expect you to do it ROCK. I know that you have a lot going on right now. I was just wondering if anyone else has done it. I kind of figured you would get a little of the midrange back though because of the increase in back pressure. I was just wondering about top end. It's probably worth it though if it only takes 1-2 of the top.

Hmmm...out of curiousity then...how much would just adding a HF cat do to the stock setup?
