Hey there people!
I already knew about the K&N and Works replacement filters... but I've now come across two other filters for the RA, one from Greddy (Airinix II) and the other from HKS. Those two are much more reasonably priced than the K?N and Works filters.
My question is: Have you guys ever heard of those and would they be any good? I'm looking for a filter that would be much freer flowing than the stock part.

There you go:
http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=812
It's listed at 35US$ and is available in Canada at 46US$ (very nice price) through RevCompetition.com.

Note that Works sells a filter for our cars claiming it has a much larger filtering surface than the K&N... but it looks to me like the HKS is at least as big in that respect. But it is much cheaper...

I put a K&n in mine. I know it costs more but I trust the quality of k&n filter. Heck most CAI kits are k&n cone filters. I have run no other air filter in any car I have owned for the last 10 years. I don't doubt the quality one bit.

I know what you mean... but the least expensive I can get them for is like 115 CAN$ (so double the price of the HKS)... and the Works filter is even more expensive!!!

from what i hear with the HKS filters, it deteriorates after a while. like tuffguy said, it does look like a sponge and that material gets crappy after some time. this is what ive heard, i have no experience with it tho.

Well it's the best info I've gotten on those so far... thanks! And if you happen to stumble on a thread mentionning those, please let me know.
