Bump.

Rob, any updates on when you are going to want to test fit this part? Sometime next week maybe?

Parts are "supposed" to come in on the 15th of February. I'll be in touch.

Dude, if I could say that my lancer had a stiffy, I'd be all over this a crackwhore on an eight-ball.

I can't believe it took 18 pages for someone to say that.

Well I'm not going to complain about time with a person that is taking on somthing like this on his own. It would be different if it was a company doing the work because that is all they do. Projects like this can be very time consuming, especially for a single person where they have a full time job and other things going on in their life.

Adam -

Update:

I got four "dogbones" molded with urethane and picked them up yesterday. They're a little rough from my perfectionist point of view, but I'll work with the vendor some more on these. The laser cut and formed steel parts are due on the 15th, which is Wednesday, if the vendor is honest, and I expect that he is. If he comes through, then three folks will have these on their car this weekend for some testing. I'll ask these guys to try to break it, lol. I'll ask these guys to report here.

Assuming the testing is a success, I'll have a big group of them made in a month. It's about time!

Sounds good buddy.

I don't suppose you could post a pic of what you have or even a pick or rendering of what a prototype should look like? Just something to we our appetite.

Well, I will make sure that I bring my camera this weekend for the install and final product. Give me a time as soon as you can Rob so that I can make sure to plan it.

He didn't technically have to start over. He just needed to change the bottom bracket to make it sit higher for a better angle and to make the installation easier.

Ralliart,

Yes, he came through. I have a large box in my garage with the Strut Brackets and the dogbones are done. The vendor did ship the Engine Mount Brackets, and I haven't seen them yet, and it's Friday at 11AM. When the package comes, we'll be talking for a date here at the shop.

To all others: Things might move slowly here for a bit - it's 5F, and it has been snowing for a few days - conditions contrary to having fun with cars!
