I am actually quiet happy to answer any questions about anything even why idid not buy an EVO and the reason is they just don't interest me as much as a well thought out N/A car because N/A car are not supposed to be powerful and are not supposed to have high h.p - I have always wanted to prove people wrong I did that with the 4g93 sohc with 137hp and I plan on doing that with this car

but thanks for the support this week the headers will be fitted on and hopefully the rest of the exhaust - like I may of mentioned before the only other thing that has been fitted I know it is not performance but will make driving easier is the Rally Spec short shifter and some minor suspenssion so please stay tuned in for some result

No we have the cams already, they are ready to go in we just have to fit them this should possibly happen in the next couple of weeks at the latest... like everything the people that have made them want to test and show proven result before selling them but they are there...

ok now onto some more serious stuff
16th January
car had some Whitleine front strut towers added and a bigger rear sway bar the difference this has made to the handleing of the car is nothing short of remarkable the car now holds a much better harder and tighter line when cornering - it no longer feels stupid

Dyno - had the car at the dyno getting a base line reading for what the car currently has in stock form - to say I am disapointed with it is a bit of an understatement but I am sure it is nothing that you guys are not familiar with - the h.p was 151hp athubs and torque was 191nm - very stock, what has surprised me is that the peak torque was reach at MIVEC shift point at 3750rpm after that the torque shifted around alot did not stay steady and yet peak h.p was 151hp which was reached at 5750rpm If we can get the torque levels to stay up and consistant at the very least we could be half way there this will come with mods and tuning

Something that we are aware of is that because it runs a MAP sensor it will not take to change very easily and will start to run lean, we had at first thought that we could fit a rising fuel pressure regulator but it is a returnless fuel line - but the GReddy E Manage with it's upgraded software it has an accelerator pump setting which will allow us to compensate on inital acceleration and overal running

the dyno sheet is up on the web page and the link to it is on my first post of this thread

Tommorrow we fit the headers and take the car again back for another dyno run

19th January update

Well first of all I need to apologise - we had planned to fit the headers this week but we then thought that the first thing that most people do is put a cat back exhaust on so we did that instead - results were quiet good we lost a very small amount of power before the MIVEC change over point but gain 5hp in the top end and also gained 2nm torque which lasted a little longer than stock and evened out a bit more.

At first when I saw the dyno sheet I was not all that impressed ( I am a hard person to please) but driving the car proved to be a different story - before I could never really tell were the change over point was now you can really feel the difference the car surges ahead at the change over it is much more exagerated much more defined... very cool.... these results will be enhanced even more when we get the headers on in the next week or so unfortunately I have stolen my car from the RPW workshop and driven home with it which is 180klm south of them - so I will be getting the car back to them very soon... I just got carried away with how much nicer it was to drive now that it has the Whiteline suspension and the very nasty Rally Spec shifter -

The sound from the exhaust is awesome... when you first start the car up it has a very deep low note to it.... unfortunatly it will only cause people to turn heads if they are into cars and those that know the difference between a on the edge tuned car vs a wet fart in a tin shed..... the automatic question comes when listening to this exhaust is " what has been done under the hood..." the sound is very close to what my Skyline R33 sounded like

We have put up more tech info on the page just go to the link on the first page were you will be able to see a dyno sheet with this cat back system

That sounds about right on the exhaust gain - wise. I agree most people would add things like exhaust and CAI before headers. Good call. Although I am of the opinion that an exhaust mod should be used more as a complimentary mod to other things that have already been done to the intake side.
I would expect modest gains until you mess with the ECU or go FI.
I am curious at what new headers will give......

Hopefully the headers will be installed in the next week to 10 days - I am currently driving the car around at the moment just enjoying it, and the differences that have been achieved on just a few minor mods - what I have found is that the Mivec change over point is now more pronounced than what is was before in stock form.... I know you guys get the front tower strut bar straight from factory unfortunately I did not get the factory one as I could not justify the massive price differences between the models for just a few dollars worth of extras, but now that I have been driving with the whiteline I am no longer having to constantly over driving/oversteering /correcting the car as much as before which has been great - the short shifter is another very cool mod the throw is so small in all directions you really feel like you are driving something other than a Lancer

again keep on checking this thread as I will be continuing to update on every part and there are tons of it
