Best of all, Haltech has released a new Miniceptor which is hte same piggy back ecu, 1/2 the price at around $450.00 AUD$ in a steel non waterproof case instead of the sealed plastic casing. AT the end of hte day when placed in the car it don't matter.

So for around $350.00 US$ plus freight approx, you can have a piggy back ecu that iwll do ignition timing, fuel adjustments, run up to 3 auxiliary items like shift lights, water sprayers, duel mapping, alter mivec point, and also removal of speed limiting as well.

Sound like a bargain to anyone?
Sounds like your piggy back is gonna sell well, hell for 350 i might be in line for one.

You are wrong and should consider reading the accolade rpw header thread, going to rpw's website or checking the link in chowetime's sig. You just need to do a little more digging. There is A LOT of information between the two vendors actively producing parts, the threads they've created and their websites, and all the posts here across quite a few threads.

Hey Mitsiman, I forget where I was reading it but I read somewhere that the haltech could also include and adaptor to make it a true plug-&-play system for a little bit of extra $. Is this true? Also, is there going to be a difference in the auto version compared to the 5-speed version?

Hell yes! Keep us informed. I'll probably be able to afford this as soon as it comes out and you're finished tuning. Will this be compatible with your turbo package? I know I've mentioned this a billion times to you already but I plan to buy your kit in pieces and if this works, this will be my first step as I'll see benefits immediately.

That sounds awesome. Will this include the software needed to program it, or is that a seperate purchase?

IIRC, you can download the software to modify haltechs hardware directly from their site, not 100% sure that it applies to the miniceptor, though I don't see why it wouldnt.

The software is freely downloadable for this interceptor kit yes and you can download hte software right now straigt from the haltech website.

I have just confirmed pricing on the miniceptor kit and we will be selling it for $500.00 US$ sorry, not $350.00 I got my numbers wrong

But even still that is a very good price for what you are getting, which includes the software, wiring harness, diagram for installation and baseline program.

RPW will also be making freely available as we do more Ralliart vehicles, pre truned software packages downloadable from our website to reduce dyno time for cars with the same levels of modifications.

Ok, noob question. By wiring harness I can only assume you mean no splicing wires is this correct? If so, I still think this is worth it to me. I've wanted a piggy with a wiring harness for easy installation/removal for a long time.

I'm pretty sure that it is a true P&P system which means no splicing wires. To me this is a bargain because I was planning on spending twice this amount for the interceptor just so I didn't have to splice the wires. This is some of the best news I've heard so far this week.
