What are the costs of this piggy and all the hardware versus an Emanage ....

Is RRM still using the Split Second software?

 

you should be able to get the piggy and everything to tune (minus the laptop, which you need for either system iirc) for around 1kUSD new, you won't get the emanage system for any less than 2kUSD new.

 

I think once someone gets it tuned with proper mods we can maka a DB of loads for different mods for the people in the site to have a Safe baseline. once I get home I'll post a base map for -5% lean A/F to start with.

 

could'nt you buy the ZEITRONIX WIDEBAND sensor that RRM sells to help you tune you car.

 

I just came back from the dyno and its not as easy as just getting the wideband. We started at 2pm and finished at 5:30pm. So its no easy task for someone whos just getting to know the system.

 

Now onto the good news . We finished tunning the piggy and even though we only saw an increase of 5whp on peak power , we got 19whp and 22more torque in mid-range!!!!.Values were really screwed up and it took us a while to get things in order and tune every little detail. I still think we could get a few more horses but i didnt have enough time to keep playing with it. At the end when we compared graphs from 09/07/06 and today with 3rd gear pulls(previous numbers were done on 4th)we saw the amazing gain in the mid-range marked by a black line running down the middle of both graphs. Heres the picture of the graphs :

 

the blue line was todays run and i got 152.8whp and 151.6 tq. Last week run yielded 147.8 whp and 139.5 tq (numbers posted before were from a 4th gear pull). Though like i said the huge difference comes about 4000 rpms and if you compare both graphs you'll see that the difference in that specific point is of 19whp and the same point in tq. has a difference of 22 more tq. than the 3rd gear run done last week. Overall the car now feels great and the lower rpms have an incredible pull. Thanx for following this thread and if any of you have problems with your map or questions we saved the one we did. Thanx to thunder-rush for some of his help with the values .

yes and no. The thing with this dynojet is that its an older model that dynojet doesnt even distribute anymore (or so the owner of the dyno told me). He said that even though i pulled 152 whp in 3rd gear (we did a 4th gear pull and got 157whp) if i went to another, newer dyno i'd be getting about 8-10whp more. He gave that estimate from other customers that have tuned in his dyno and later have gone to other dynos and have gotten better results. So if you take that into consideration i'd have nearly 170whp. Im gonna try to go to another dyno to see how accurate this is , nevertheless im extremely happy with the tune i got today.

Ok 170 sounds preety good now. Have u tested it in the track. What's your best time in the 1/4 mile??

 

Thats next up in my list. I go to the carolina track on mondays when the entrance is only like $4 , but the downside is they dont turn on the boards so i dont know the time the car is making. Gonna try to go on a wednesday.

 

Gr8. I have been trying to go to test my launch with the Engine dampner (trying to brake into the 15's w/o power mods) but had no time and i always forget what days the boards r on. Might go next Wednesday

 

Your supposed to make a 15.0 or 14.8 at around 92 ... a bit more if you mix some vp to a lean map
