just out of curiosity, how hard did you have to twist the junkyard guy's arm to make him part out the ralliart engine? Every time I find a junker, they want to sell the whole engine for around $900. Thats a bit out of my range for a DIY =(

Will you consider selling your cores when your done?

Finished the valve springs and retainers
The purpose of the gray Dry film lubricant coating is to help the springs release heat into the oil therefore keeping them cool and ALWAYS LUBRICATED. This way they wont yield and last longer @ higher RPMS
Heres the whole deal, notice the gray colored ones are already coated ...

BEFORE

AFTER

VALVE REATAINERS BEFOR AND AFTER

Soo what is left ...
1-Camshaft to arrive
2- WRX injectors to arrive SHIPPED TOMORROW
3- EVO 8 fuel rail to arrive SHIPPED TOMORROW
4- Valve stem seals (the seller sent the wrong ones now the new ones are BLUE VITON seals)
5- INSTALL THE VALVETRAIN
6- SHIP cyl head and IM to PR for prototype testing hhehehe

I will modify the evo 8 fuel rail to work with a return less system so that I can use the wrx injectors I dont wanna mess with fuel pressure for now...
Already installed the EGR block off plate and the DREW modification for the EGR valve. The valve is installed on top of the block off plate and the stock lenght of the bolt worked. I will try to post some more pics later on....

migueralliart, ive been following your thread with keen interest, very nicely done so far.

i was hoping at the end (or edited in the first post) would you mind doing up a table/chart as to where you got everything, how much everything cost, and total prices for everything? it'll give me a good idea as to what ill be up against.

Thanks!

This mods explained in this thread are not too hard to just it just require you to find a local machine shop able to do the porting and to compare prices.... If you are located in Florida California or Chicago this might be easier ....
