**** yeah man, rock and roll. I want to be conservative with my estimates, so I will leave them where they are, but I will venture a guess later once I do a little research.

If you don't mind telling me: How many of the mods you are planning have you and I NOT discussed. It will help me better guess what your final numbers will be.

I will say an avg of 5hp for each additional thing we have NOT discussed, but only because I already know about what I would consider the big power mods

1-CYl HEAD (ported + ceramic) 30hp/30tq
2- Camshaft (modded) NEW REDLINE 7500RPM moves redline, which moves powerband-RPW cam 23hp(forgot tq sorry)-Orlandos cam 35hp-35tq
3- Intake Manifold (ported + ceramic) with EGR delete manifold-15 to 20hp and tq
4- Injen CAI 5-7hp/tq
5- 2nd SMT-6 (this time I will do a write up) you better no gain, it's a necessary component, as is a tune, so you can't count it
6- Enlightenned Stock Flywheel + stage 1 or 3 CLUTCH (not sure still deciding) minimal gain atw, should show around 2-4hp/tq on an inertia dyno
7- 1-3/4 inch runners 4-1 Custom Header 10-15hp/tq
8- 2.5 inch full exhaust with HF cat resonator and mufflerALL MAGNAFLOW 5-12 hp/tq (I consider this a helper mod)
9- UD PULLEY (RRM) PROVEN 5-7hp and 9tq
10- Throttle Body (ported) + coolant lines delete 5hp/tq
11- AEM 4G64 pulley set (alternator + water pump + steering pump) didn't know about this, maybe 5hp/8tq
12- Enlarged Bore Stock Fuel RAIL won't add power, only allow it
13- Possibility of new Injectors? I don't think you will be able to avoid this

14- mwuhahahah----- I'd say around 25-30hp and 25-40tq from what you and I discussed yesterday, add probably 10 on top of that for what we haven't talked about

Yeahh , a friend of mine has a Galant N/A with 300 WHP without NOS and I figured if he can do it why we can't I mean hes got the 4G64 2.4 lt and we got the same thing except for MIVEC and less drivetrain loss.

I am still staying on the conservative side due to my limited experience with major engine modification. add up all the HIGH numbers and you are already there my friend, even more so with TQ.

I'm gonna play devils advocate here and say that most of these guesses are *too high*

Not that I'm any expert or anything, I'm just making my own uneducated guess/statement.

I think it would be really great to see your car up around 230hp/230tq, or higher even as you guys predict - 250whp + (and I want to state here its clear you know much much more about this than I do). It just seems like nearly all NA mods don't do anything close to what people say they are going to do on the dyno. Please prove me wrong because I think this project is very exciting and hats off to ya.

Since we are asking predictions on numbers:

~217whp/208tq

Again, please prove me wrong. I would love to see a 250whp/250tq NA without the bottle.

A lot of people say I can't get there, people said in the past I couldn't afford a RA and here I am , people said I wouldn't become an engineer and here I am, people said Paris Hilton couldn't go to jail and there she is, all these comparisons relate to my thread in NOTHING. But heres something politely .....
don't tell me what I can and cannot do !!! for those of U who think this I am gonna proove it to you , IT CAN BE DONE, and when it's done I swear I will write down all your names and make a sticker and put it in my HOOD and will dyno the car and video it put it in YOU TUBE and dedicate it to you...... So lets make this official any one who really thinks I wont get 250 WHP without NOS write down your name in here:

BTW forgot to ask you guys about the compression , the pistons are ready to be made they received the mold of the comb chamber and an old piston, COMPRESSION SUGGESTIONS?

If yours is silver then LOL!!

yeahh maybe we should remind people how cars before turbo where made... nothing personal about being turbo , been there done that, its just its been a long time I dont hear anyone saying somebodoy can go fast without turbo ... and its like a goal to me to extract 104 WHP from each liter of gas this engine uses...

The intake manifold arrived today @ noon . I am not gonna work OT today , there are other thing s more important than Boeing's right now!!!

Cool project! You're doing all the things on my list from way back when and then some =) I'm REALLY interested in seeing how far you can stretch the fuel supply on the stock rail and injectors. It seems to become a limiting factor for the FI guys once they start pushing ~250hp. You might want to look into a larger fuel pump and a return line if you do need to up the fuel supply.

As for predictions, like migue said, its about the combination. It doesn't really work to say 'part A gives x hp, part B gives y hp, so you'll end up with x+y hp!'. That only works on playstation for example, a bored fuelrail on a turbocharged engine pushing 250whp at 10psi might allow for another 15hp tuned if we are already having fuel starvation issues. But on the same engine with just a CAI, it might not add anything at all, simply because there is already an abundance of fuel for the available air supply.

I think our engine will max out around 225whp, al natural with the 9.5:1 compression and stock redline/cam/timing. Raising the redline will let you stretch the powerband a bit, maybe out to 250 if the cam puts the torque where it needs to be. all the other heat treatment stuff is just icing on the cake for what comes next =) im really excited to see where the torque curve lands after its all said and done!

Put me on this list. I do not think that you will make 250whp, however I'm not trying to disrespect you, or tell you that you do not know what you are doing. I really dig this thread and I really appreciate all the work you're doing. I'm in no way telling you what you cannot do, just giving you my prediction. Nothing more was intended than that at all. I did go on to say that it seems most people over rate their NA mods, or calculate the total gain of all mods combined improperly. I still stand by this claim. I'm really excited to see how well your hard work pays off, and I really hope you break 250. Way cooler than FI imo.
