4G69 Header on eBay
Damn, I think I have a big problem.
There is a place for a sensor on the header itself but I cant find the sensor that should go on it.
Another problem is, I cant remove the sensor from the factory DP just before the cat. I resorted to cutting most of the bolts but I of course cant cut this. Is it safe to apply some break free or equivalent?

cause OBX's a copycat of RRM's
, and cost less than the half of RRM
, maybe the price RRM is asking just make it a NON cheap garbage??
and btw like it or not , that was your opinion, you just have to learn the difference between being a hater and saying a FACT.
Opinions are like as$holes, everybody have one....
The hole should be for the pre-cat o2 sensor...the one you can't get out of the stock header. Just soak it in penetrating oil and get the correct o2 sensor socket for it and get a breaker bar on it. Or use a torch and heat up the threads on the pipe. Before you start working on a car get the correct tools for the job.
I don't know if wrong is the correct word, since his logic is not flawed and you don't have an oem part
you are running into exactly the kind of problems you were told to expect
1.) i's not OBX (according to a user who supposedly contacted them) 2.) fitment: what's the hole for again?
none of that matters in the end though. as long as the flange is flat on the head, the runners don't come together poorly, and the welds don't crack immediately upon heating you should be good to go
yeah, plug it if you have enough holes. PB blaster is the most effective fluid I have found for freeing stuck bolts.
edit: be sure to keep the pb blaster away from the sensor tip though, it's a petroleum based product and will probably ruin your sensor if you get much on it.

there is such a thing as a o2 sensor socket its basicly a deep socket with a line cut down the side of it to get it around the wires and then u use it like a normal socket u should be able to rent them from ur auto parts store.
these are the two types.

well see im not 100% sure i mean if u look at the pic u see the obxr gasket in the packing but like i said i really dont know that could be made up also, i contacted the so called tuna-tom dealer of these and asked him for the part number but he didnt say anything other than he has about 10 of them like i said before. sooooo duno if he fixes his probs with the install and we get good feed back who its from i dont think really matters but there is not dout these are made for the 4g69 cause of the unique header flange.
not to quote zlancer make sure u dont mix fire and penitraiting oils just a thought. ?

Got it done finally!
It took hours to remove the factory system and all of 15 minutes to install the new one. Everything bolted up perfectly. The only problem was the extra O2 sensor hole.
Once on I let the car idle for about five minutes and then took her for a spin. I was expecting it to be loud and raspy. I was REALLY surprised that it wasnt bad at all. Now it is a bit raspy right around 2200-2500 but not bad enough to make me rush out and get a HF cat. Im all stock except for a SRI. While cruising the car is not much louder then stock, even on the highway.
Now for the good part. My butt dyno tells me that there is a good bit of gain. The first time I got on it, it really did catch me off guard! On the Hwy in fifth there is an instant push when I hit the throttle. Its really nice. Overall I am VERY happy. Ive driven about 60miles with no CEL so far. I give it an 8/10. Minus one for the extra O2 sensor hole that needs plugged and minus one because its not ceramic coated.

LoL, I got a scrap O2 sensor and used it as a plug. I couldnt find anything else, I will eventually order a plug.
It should hold up. Its alot thicker and more solid then stock. I just hope in case something does happen the lifetime warranty will be legit. If it lasts for the next year or two I will be happy.
