Sorry I havnt gotten a vid up, my camera is messed up. At around mile 590 of my 700+ mi trip the CEL came on. That means it took about 750mi total for it to come on. I havnt actually hooked it up yet, but I assume its cause of the new set up.

So far Ive put over 1100mi total and other then the CEL Ive had no problems. (not that the CEL is a problem). Anyway I am still really happy with the gains and so far I would really recommend this product. I'm also pretty certain its not a fake. If so they went all out with all the OBX paper work and warranty information, to the OBX box and even the tape used to seal the box had OBX printed on it.

At this point its the best $262 Ive ever spent on a car!

that's the whole point of brand faking, so people don't know the difference. I haven't made the call to OBX though, so I couldn't tell you either way. you'd think making fake Tial blow off valves would be prevented by stamping or casting Tial into the metal, the fakers do it too though. it really doesn't matter though, as long as it fits up properly it doesn't make a difference who made it.

Hey.. I Also Purchase And Installed The Obx Header. I Love It As Well. I Also Feel A Great Bit Of Gain And Hear The Same Amount Of Raspyness Between 2400-3400 Rpms. I Had A Question Thought. Since The Cat Isnt There Anymore Do You Need An O2 Censer Or Can I Jus Plug Sumthing In To Fill The Hole? And The Cel Is The Same As Ses Light Right?

Now for the good part. My butt dyno tells me that there is a good bit of gain. The first time I got on it, it really did catch me off guard! On the Hwy in fifth there is an instant push when I hit the throttle. Its really nice. Overall I am VERY happy. Ive driven about 60miles with no CEL so far. I give it an 8/10. Minus one for the extra O2 sensor hole that needs plugged and minus one because its not ceramic coated.
Are there two bungs for the O2 sensor on the primary part of header? I am looking at this header for a 4g69 Eclipse and the stock exhaust manifold has two O2 sensors. So are there two O2 bungs or one?

There is an o2 bung on the header its self (the one I had to plug) and one on the down pipe (the one I needed).

BTW, is it normal for the raspyness to get less with time?

Also I have found one potential issue. The header comes down very far. It will be the first thing I hit if I bottom out. Is the RRM one like that? I did hit it once, I had no choice too...going through some construction and I had a car on my *** so I couldnt crawl over it. No damage but it freaked me out good!

Took me a while to read through all of this but i dont remember seeing a post from RRM is that the same header as the RRM one???....the collector and the number one (looking at it as it were installed, first on the left) and its the same odd bend off the flange. I have an old RRM one I took off a buddies car and it looks very close to it....I would like to hear from RRM to see if its theirs or do they contract it out........just to clarify.........

Of course you will get power if you eliminate that power robbing cat and down pipe (stock) look what Hackish did with the stock header and Stebro down pipe/cat and cat back 169WHP.....i know as I was a witness to the dyno pull........oh ya and the Haltech Mini.....

Too much to ask I am sorry........

I work for a Performance Exhaust company (wont say as their not a vendor) and I know what it takes to make a header or manifold as we design and make for Ferrari and Lamborghini (and others) unless mass produced with cheap metal there is no way any company in North America can produce one for under 500 and make money. If its made in China fine tell me that and let me decide bottom line its all about the numbers....

I priced out a header for a local guy here and best price I can do is $1000.00CDN that .5 inch 304 polished stainless for the flange and I think it was 10 or 12 guage 304 stainless mandrel bent piping (cant remember) with a 4 inch collector (that alone my cost is $250.00) it may be over done but you wont have any issues with it.....so to produce one for under $500.00......I would think twice about performance and quality....

IIRC the original discussion Rob did say he was designing these and they were being outsourced for production.

your lambo and ferrari exhausts are all going to be priced higher than lancer parts, that's common sense. as for materials, you have to have the right connections. your company apparently does not. I work at a major (read biggest in US) metal distributor, and I can tell you it's not even close(going up every day though) to 500 in materials for 304 stainless materials for a header and downpipe. the first one you make will be more than 500 if you include development and initial labor, but once you have a jig set up and all the parts figured out you don't spend as much as one would think. mass production aside, I could still make a unique stainless exhaust system(header to exhaust tip) for around 500, albeit not as nice as one you would buy from a shop

Actually we use the same material on all our systems so the one we produce for a Lambo is the same as on a Lancer, material that is. The higher price for the lambo is due the fact that the muffler is bigger. The big mark up is that there are not many manufacturers and sound quality (technology) We did my lancer and it sounds like a high end euro with no pitch difference or rasp to the sound.

PM me and put me in contact with a sales person...always looking for better material and prices.......
