4G69 Header on eBay
I bought the 4G69 OBX Headers from eBay and here are the issues that I found:
1. The header is exactly the same as RRM's, same design, same parts, but it's not ceramic coated. I've had mine for a couple of months now and I've seen no rust on any part of it.
2. The O2 Sensor positions are completely wrong. I had to take it to a muffler shop to add another O2 Sensor hole so that I could place the second O2 Sensor where it should go. The first hole in the OBX Header sits too damn close to the engine block making it impossible to even think about placing an O2 Sensor there.
3. Same as RRM's, the OBX is a 4-1 header design. If you have suspension (as I do), you'll scratch it on the pavement because it sits about 1 inch below the crossmember.
4. I had to remove the condenser fan because the header didn't fit between the fan and the engine so that it could be mounted.
Apart from this, I've had no other issues with it so far. I've been meaning to take my ride to the dyno to see how much I gained for the $$$. Honestly, once installed, you'll feel the difference in power. Before installing it, I covered it with thermowrap. You can see the pics at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2667426
Hey guys! I know it's a bit late for this, but here it is anyway...

That is odd the o2 holes where in the wrong place. Mine where correct other then that third one up by the engine block that I plugged wiht an old sensor.
I also didnt have to remove anything. My buddy dropped it in from the top and I was underneath the car guiding it in.
You are right on how low it sits. My car is lowered and Ive dinged it good once. You really have to watch what you go over.
Hi guys, I've just installed the OBX header/downpipe and I also placed and old sensor on the first hole, I'm thinking of getting the Tein Springs but gonna think twice after reading your comments.
BTW Is there a solution for the CEL eliminator besides the RRM one? And why exactly do you thermowraped the header/downipe? I read a post but didn't really understand it, can someone please explain it to me? Cyanide, if you could do it in spanish it would be great, no entendi nada papi.
Thanks
