as mentioned in another thread I thought I would bring this over here.

If you get the reflash now before the software is released you will get the software for free.

So I've been told... What will I be able to do with it?

Make adjustments to the maps effected by the tune that you already have.

That is a question for Hackish he has not really told me the full details but
you will read the ecu email the file he will encrypt it and send back to you with the definition that is "married" to your ecu. Now you can make all the adjustments you want and reflash it as you need.

Added some commas to your quote... It took me a while to understand the reply...

I understand that, but how will I be able to put that file into the ecu? Basically, your saying I can change things, but there's no way for me to communicate with the ecu. All I have is an OBD-II scanner, and I don't think it'll be that easy...

With a cable, like everyone else who re-flashes their ECU?

Which means I would have to get one in order for this to work, right?

So, after almost a year, and still with no working reflash in my hands, I have to keep spending money? How much does it go for and which one is it?

Are you the person that is on PR that is working with Carlos? if so there seams to be a difference between our ecu and the ones sold there. This is a new product and there were bound to be some kinks to work out. Your rom id is differnt than ours and very different from the ones in California. The good news is we know the issue and it is a 2 minute fix for us. Carlos said untill the problem the performance was good.

The flash will work as is the software is for the guys/gals that want to max out the settings or if they go forced induction. We went somewhat conservative just to be safe.

Your ecu is on the way it will be fixed and send back at our cost as we made the mistake and we will fix it. As I mentioned this is a new product and technology and there were bound to be a few minor issues, you helped us in this process.

There are aprox 4 rom id for each year and they seam to come from different locations in North America, again for us its not a big issue not that we are aware of it.

Judging from the complexity of the 2004-2006 ecu Mitsubishi must have been using the electronics on these cars as a testing ground for future vehicles.....

... You definately were a bit tired...

It's Carlos.

You had told me all of that, but there was no mention about the cable. Since there were new comments, I wanted to clarify some doubts I had. Getting that cable might be an issue. Which one is it? I think I might be able to get one from a friend, but I need the specifics.
