Hackish ECU Reflash Review

i have the same problem with the outlander turbo.. I can read it but the writing is unsafe

I've posted my reflashed ECU for sale at ebay. The item number is 280624301838. It starts cheap, so you guys might wanna take a look at it. It's been over a year, and since I can't find a car to test due to schedule conflicts, I might as well just let someone else try it.

i made the trip to ottawa today, to test the fitment of the ebay 4g69 cast turbo manifold, and before hackish and i went to subway for lunch he reflashed my ECU, i suppose just to tease me into wanting it really really bad, anyways i played around with it a bit, loved it...i wrote about it in my "4G69 cast turbo manifold" thread, but i figured i'd post here as well, since the information is relevant...the launch control is awesome, i mean not only cool as ****, but feels good, sounds good, grabs the road sooner, even if you dump the clutch...it felt more powerful even with the extra guy in the car, the power didn't dip near the limit like it does on the stock tune, and the higher rev limit is a given, you can pull longer and harder in the lower gears, it was pretty awesome, and once canada is warm again, and the gas bills stop showing up in the triple figures i'm going to pay the man for his work, fantastic, if only everyone could have the chance to spend 10 minutes behind the wheel of his reflash, you'd all fall in love with your RA again like it was the first time
even with a generic "hey! check this out" NA tune, it was great i'm sure depending on mods you could even improve on this...
oh yeah, hackish, the T-shirt fits great, lol...hope you have decals or stickers when i come back in the spring
P.S. Brent i saw the intercooler piping from your turbo kit on the floor by the bathroom, i wanted it for the stickers...ha

out of sheer boredom i just re-read that entire thread cause i hadn't done so for quite some time...anyways, i don't know how much more work exactly hackish has done, since all these discussions, but he reflashed my ECU today in like 10 minutes, MAYBE. then he asked rhetorically, "was that the one with launch control?" as he cranked on the throttle, and that's when i smiled...it felt great right away, maybe there's still a "learning " period, and maybe it would feel better if we let it do its thing, i don't know what he's done, but i know for sure this is the way to go, but i would like to see some software with it, but i'll probably get this done before the clutch, software or not...the point is it is capable of fueling properly under boost, when i'm ready to go down that road, and it's funner to drive NA...what more could you ask for, if you're a guinea pig for this type of thing you'd be naive to expect perfect results...i mean i paid for a manifold that doesn't fit, for the benefit of the community, i'm not too worried about it...i thought the reflash was great...

Glad you liked the flash. I have been the guinea pig for over 2 years now and its been fun that's for sure. I have been saying for quite some time now that I have had 4 piggybacks and now the flash and nothing responds like the reflash (I have used the flash for Turbo Supercharger and NA tunes and nothing is like the flash).
FYI I go that sticker from ebay when I went through my sticker collecting phase, thank god none made it to the car...LOL
