The last build according to hackish stated that the editor is usable for the Lotus only currently. I think that's what I read. I really want to start editing or something. I just swapped my short ram for a cold air and it's wanting to give it too much fuel. When cruising around it's fine, but idle it richens up to about 17-18

Hmmm this may just spur me to start posting in the RA forums again.

Tried registering for the uvtune forums and I am unable to for some reason. Keep getting "One of your responses below was not correct."

I gave up after awhile.

Oh man, now I feel dumb...I just got the AFR gauge per request of Hackish. I saw somewhere where it sated that 17-18 was rich on that end. Thanks for the correction! So I'm actually getting too much air then.

Thing is, it only does it at idle, so I'm not sure why. Maybe the ECU is still learning. It will balance itself out after a little bit after the car has been turned on and ran for a couple miles.

Ok so you installed the wideband then got the flash it was idling lean the went to 14.7? if so that id normal.

When getting the flash you should reset the ECU but it is not necessary. I like to but that is a personal choice.

if it idles really lean like that, you may have an exhaust leak...otherwise when you first let off the gas it will read super lean cause the ECU cuts fuel (no fuel lots of air) when you let off, then it will go to idle and start fuelling again...

Well actually it would be so lean at idle it sounded like a muscle car with a big cam in it As I drove, it would act normal, but as I idle'd again it would go super lean again. I took off the cold air and put my short ram on again. Everything is around stoich again....that will teach me to go with an off brand CAI...

Is there a difference in pipe diameter?

@ Cranswick, I actually didn't at first. It was fine if it stayed around 1,000 rpms, then if it tried lowering the RPM's down to I think its 750 or so it would start dying so it would raise it back up. So I reset it. That's when it really would act like it had a big cam in it haha.

@OttRalliart05
There is a difference in Diameter. I can fit my short ram pipe inside of the cold air piping. It's not a huge difference but it's clearly there.

I will say this, my P0420 code never popped, but the P0171 did for being too lean.

If the diameter of the pipe is larger than the stock tube that will cause all kinds of issues.

Which is what I understand now that I was corrected on the lean and rich reading throttle was much more responsive haha.

Since I don't get girls and only read about tuning, and the experts live near Ottawa, I'll wrangle a wicked local who's cool as hell to show me basics: Cranswick with his bad-*** laptop.

Hah, now I feel embarrassed for other tuning newbies - stop wishing you were me and deal with it.

Do we just update the software and it should be ready to use? I haven't touched the software in a long time...I hope I can find my adapter
