I think going to go with the stage 2 , kevlar vs organic I'm no vegan lol... It's a more resistant to heat which is good to have here in Miami.

With good transmission oil I'm not sure how much the external heat will play a factor.

How are you liking this clutch? My mechanic was able to get a brute power clutch for the same price as the factory clutch. Any more MC leaks or shift lock at high revs?

does brute power have a catalogue? i'm not sure they make a clutch for any fwd Lancers. I think he's referring to the master cylinder only.

For us, the evo 8/9 master cylinder works well with aftermarket clutches. My stock one lasted almost 90,000km on an ACT HD pressure plate, and 250,000km total. The evo cmc is worth the ease of installation alone...our stock one is a *****.

Yeesh im gonna have tp throw in mine with an OEM TOB next swap, cant let that 500 bucks go to waste, still in very good working condition after the bearing died but it looks like a** full of knicks. Crans how successful have your tranny rebuilds been, if i recall vorrectly you've done at least two for the f5m42, i have a tranny sitting around, it was making a supercjarger like noise. Whirring through all the gears, the mechanic said it was a diff, should i just invest in a new used transmission?

well my first rebuild was when I installed my Quaife LSD, second was when the clutch exploded and I had to Frankenstein a transmission together using my original gear set and the junk yard case...then shortly after that I rebuilt the junkyard shafts and then swapped them into the case they originally came in...the tranny I'm currently using came with a completely worn 3rd synchro, and a whiny second gear....the whine is excessive backlash...if every gear does it, the transmission may have been run dry for some time, or it is the diff, or rather the final drive...

the tranny rebuilds are ongoing...my next plan is to repair my original case, rebuild the shafts with new gears and all that, and then reinstall it, and use the current one as a spare...
