Engine Stalling, CEL and code p1020

All this started happening after I installed my new battery.

Start the car up and it'll stall out as I slow down and stop. Once the car warms up it doesn't stall out, but I can tell its fighting.

Anything I can check before bringing it to the dealer? Thanks.

Check spark plugs, i think i remember someone saying thats related to lean, or missfire. If u have a cold air intake check the filter and the MAF if the wet then thats your problem.

If u search there was a list in a thread somewhere that has all the codes and what they mean

says its a mivec problem have you done timing or oil change?

Spark plugs were done at 80k ( at 100k now ) timing belt was done 40k miles ago and only been 2000 miles since my last oil change. No cold air intake or any mods.. the CEL turned off by itself but car is still stalling...

Check wires. Specifically, that MIVEC oil pressure switch and things it connects to. Moving things around may have messed with it a tiny bit but its an easy thing to check.

make sure you clean your battery posts and terminals and that they are tight...momentary loss of power will throw all sorts of weird codes.

that is weird that it's throwing a MIVEC code and then stalling...

Since it happened after installing a new battery I would revisit that installation seeking loose connections.

or maybe you got a bad battery? i'm not sure about this but maybe try to exchange your battery and get a new one and tell them that your car isn't holding a good idle since you switched batteries. i'm sure they can work something out if you ask nicely
