Question RPM drops and car dies??

Hi today i was having issues with my car, i woke up and went to start my car and let it idle but it only idled for about 1-2 minutes then the car just stopped. I didn't know what was going on so I went to start it again and this time i sat in my car watching what was going on, the RPM was idling at 1k then just dropped and the car died. I do not know whats causing this. Some advice would be appreciated.

It is ususally the MAF sensor especially if you have a oil filter (K&N) try cleaning the MAF withe MAF cleaner only and see if that fixes the issue.

As EvOikon said did the car toss a CEL code? That will help narrow it down.

that's very strange, I would try resetting the ECU as well, maybe even reseat the connector at the throttle body. normally a malfunction like that would throw a code.

So I cleaned the MAF sensor and drove it for a while and now it's not stalling anymore but the idle is a little rough.

Might have to invest in a new MAF.

buy a genuine Mitsubishi electric...they are $140 in Canada, so probably less in the states.
