I agree, don't try to evade for an exhaust ticket, take the exhaust off if you don't like tickets, otherwise just act cool and most cops look away from it, like here in FL they look the other way even when your exhaust is louder then a jet engine.

So this Friday I bring my mom to the bar to meet up with my dad. We both walk by the passenger side so I know there was nothing there then. had a few drinks with them, then went to a party in the country. stayed there for a bit then took this guy out to showem what my car could do since my roomate had started telling tall tales about the ralliart. I kicked up tons of dust then the car was made filthy. Later the next day I found a huge dent in the side of my car, no paint missing. Just a huge 10" dent. and none of that dust was rubbed off either. So it had to happen from some idiot at the bar or the party. Now I want to kill somebody.
my awful wreck
Last february 06, I was leaving with my gf for the week-end to visit my family and attend a karate competition. I leave about 3 hours from my native place.
It was snowy at my place but not that much. The road I have to use is often closed when it's snowy and windy so I checked on the road ministry website to see how it was and everything was ok so we left.
When we got to that road...about 10km from home, we could barely see the front off my car. I slowed down on the side off the road to wait a little. Not even 10 seconds after, a 18yold kid, going about 90km/h hit me in my tail. I looked at my gf and ask if she was ok, and she was, so I went outside to see in the other car if they were injured. They were also ok. We still barely could see the tip of our nose so I went back inside the car to call the police and ask to close the road. By the time I got in the car, a big SUV appeared in front of us and scratched my left front fender. I almost did'nt see it but my gf had time to see everything. See became really scared and anxious! So I went outside again to see if their was injured. Got by in the car again.
No...it's not over yet.
So I came back inside the car. Sat down, took my cap off and BANG, again, a big 52ft long truck hit us in the back and pushed us about 100ft from where we were. I guess it wasn't my time to go since if I would have been outside 5 more second, the truck would have hit me too.
I then took my gf by the hand, she was so scared and I was now too. Brought her outside and ran to the truck. I thought this place was safe. We finally called the police and ambulance.
In total, there was 12 cars and the truck in this mini pile-up. No one were injured except for some minor scratch and my gf with some minor neck pain...which she still have to treat
After all that, the road was finally closed for the rest of the day...about time!! And the website updated.
My RA05 was damaged for over 18k. The best thing about that is my RA had already 30k km and it was rented. So I got a brand new RA06 but I bought it this time.
But now, my insurance company settled this as 50/50 responsability...so my paiment almost double. I have to prouve now that the police report was not done correctly so I'm not hold responsble for the accident.
I know, I'm still lucky in this story.

another deceased RA
Basically i hydro-planed and lost control. i ended up sliding on the drivers side over a curb into a field of dirt on the median. i only have slight back pain (for now) but my very first car is gone.
