Shave off all your hair, wear nothing but boxers and flip flops, take a crap before you race, dont eat for a couple days, that should shave a few lbs from you and your ride.

hey, if your stock, take out the filter in ur airbox so that opens up air like a short ram kinda thing. do that and i put 100$ on you. all i have is a diy short ram intake and a muffler and i beat the **** out of stuff tc's wouldnt even think about racing. dont worry. what a shame, when i beat the livving crap out of a 240sx and the guy flicked me off....sore loser. accept your defeat to a lancer muahahah!! anyways, youll win if you shift right. and if you dont.......i might flick you off ha.

Unless he has the supercharger, I think you're okay.

Seriously, the TC isn't all that.

You need to listen up man. I believe this can be done. It will be so tight though!! I think you should ditch your spare tire, jack, carpet and stuff in the trunk. You will save almost 40lbs with that done. The other thing is take a day this week and look closely at the car..... Is there any thing else I can ditch up front to save weight??? ( intake runner, mivec cover whatever. 2 or 3 lbs adds up remember that. Also I don't know if you have access to 91 octane or better but you should try and run some 94. I highly recommend a fresh oilchange with royal purple full synthetic oil too. A K&N filter for like 50 bucks ( I have one on my RA no CAI and the filter does wonders! ) Also keep your shift points close to the fuel cutoff. Although you will not make as much power, if you hold your shifts out it will run faster. Also if you have a set of 15" rims from your buddy's eclipse or something, run with those as it will help lower your et. Good luck man. You need to do some of these things if you want to win. I would be afraid if you dont.

+1
gear ratio on those things are too long and takes them forever to build up speed.

You guys have given some real informative posts. thanks for all the replies. my plans are to run him bone stock. the most i'll remove from my car is the spare tire and maybe some small things in the engine. but nothing from the interior. i'll even have 2 car seats in the back. lol. i don't plan on getting an oil change since i just had one recently and it doesn't need one at all. i do plan on running 100oct. shell v-power. it's only 15 bucks for 5 gallons anyway. i don't really count the fuel as a mod tho. when i raced this guy about a week or so ago from a roll, i had 91oct in and i do think that helped me out seeing as how i usually just run 87 and the car felt better on 91. so i think 100 should really help. other than that, i won't be using anything else. just a bone stock car. but i plan on whooping that celica wannabe 2 door camry's azz. lol. that's what i said to him on our local forum! lol. but anyways, here's a quick update on the polls:

tc-(50)
RA-(29)

looks like i've gained a few votes back but nothing close to his vote count. there is a lot of people that think i'm in for a butt whoopin. we will see is all i have to say. once again, thanks for all the posts, and don't let your hopes get down. i think HE is in for a surprise!

brad

p.s. i'm also going to borrow a friends slicks and see if i can get a 14 sec quarter mile out of the RA bone stock on slicks. i'll let you guys know about that too!!!

awesome man I voted for you and I know if you run slicks and remove a bit of weight you will hand that Trans Camry or whatever it is its ***!! Its just a damn 2 door 4banger camry.
Just get your shifts done quick and hold the revs till close to fuel cutoff. I know if you got decent rubber up front you should have him. Are they 15" or 16" slicks?? Still think 50 bucks for K&N good investment though but your choice man. best of luck!!

i'm not gonna run the slicks against him. i don't think that would be fair. i would murder him. lol. i'm gonna use the slicks to try and break 14's stock. lol. but they are 16" slicks. 225 is the thickness. they are barely gonna fit, they got a pretty big wall thickness. i can't believe i'm actually winning on this poll now! that just makes my day. i got him by 1 vote!!! but, overall, i'm still the underdog. thanks for all of you guys' comments. i may/may not get the k/n drop in. just depends on my budget. i'll keep you guys updated on what else happens.

My friend had a TC when it first cam out and it's really not all that. I can say without a doubt that stock vs stock the RA wins. I am not sure how well they gain from mods, but I'm voting for you. RA is gonna win!

Ya I know that inky dinky intake runner licks pouch!! SRI or CAI is preferable, but cheap/ reliable power can come from the K&N. Plus when you got your hood popped its still stock!!

From personal experience, i have raced one a long time ago, we were dead even the entire way. Both are automatic trannys. I had no clue what they had, but alls i had was the rrm sri and axleback.
