sorry, but i made the challenge last weekend after we raced on the street and he said it would be a different outcome if we did it on the track. i, for one, no it will be worse for him cause he doesn't have a clue on launching. lol. so i made the challenge, he gladly accepted, and i posted these polls to see who everyone thought would win. a week will go by rather quickly tho. i promise.

Very close. VERY close. I whipped up a simple spreadsheet to figure the car speed at a 7000rpm shift for both cars, using those ratios and each car's stock tire size.

Tc RA
1st 34 1st 34
2nd 59 2nd 63
3rd 90 3rd 89
4th 124 4th 120
5th 156 5th 150

Now, the Tc is rated at 160hp and 163 torque stock, practically dead even with the RA.

It's a driver's race at that point. Whoever gets the better launch and hits the shifts right will win. Bog the launch or miss a shift, and you lose.

the tC can't rev to 7000 rpms unfortunately. it can only rev to like 6600 or 6700. fuel cut off for them is like a hair past redline.

That wasn't the point.

I was comparing gearing, not rev limiters.

well his gearing won't go as far in the rpm's as the RA so the gearing that you posted is wrong.

merry christmas to all by the way. it's christmas morning here in guam and my kids couldn't be happier!!

You're still missing the point. I was demonstrating HOW CLOSE OUR GEARING AND THE Tc'S GEARING ARE, NOT WHAT THEIR REV LIMITERS ARE. If the gearing I posted is wrong, it's because the gear ratios YOU posted are wrong.

you posted the cars speed at a 7000 rpm shift. the tC can't rev to 7000 rpms. so there for the top speeds that you posted for the tC in each gear are WRONG. i get what your saying about gearing. but, the speeds that you posted are slightly off with the speeds being a little lower in every gear.

You were dragging with less than 1000 miles on the car? Shameful. Hopefully it doesn't blow up when you run the TC.

You'll never understand, no matter how many times I try to explain it.

Tell me what the rev limiter is, and I'll recalculate for both cars at their respective rev limiters, if you'd like. That wasn't the point of the exercise, but you can't seem to grasp that fact. You're hung up on the fact that a car can't rev up to whatever rpm, but can't see that at 6000 rpm, they'd be right alongside an RA that was also at 6000 rpm.

If you do manage to win, it's only because the guy in the tC doesn't know how to launch.

God damn, you are stupid. I can't believe you managed to figure out how to reproduce.

With Potenzas, the Raliart was timed at 6.9s in the 0-60mph and 15s in the 1/4 mile.

Even on crappy Goodyears , it still spanks the tC.

Both drivers being equal, the RA will beat the tC.

Modded, it depends on whether or not the tC has gained enough to overcome a half second deficit.

ok, thanks for calling me names now in my own thread. you seem to know nothing. if i win it's only because he can't launch. ok. whatever. we raced a couple weeks ago from a 20 roll up to about 90-95 and i had him by about a car. he was somewhere around my rear bumper. i would pull instantly and keep a steady walk thru 2nd and 3rd and then 4th he would start to come back. but we stopped right before 100 because neither of us even trap 90 in the 1320.

i wasn't going to even mention this because i wanted to see what everyone thought would happen. but i'm tired of all this crap about, if he can't launch, you'll win. it might just be that my car is a factory freak, but i'm making more power than him stock even with all his bolt-ons. thanks tuff guy for your post. maybe myszkewicz will read that. i don't even care about what he put. all i know is that i'm gonna roast that tC unless he abosutely outlaunches the **** outta me plus gets a way better reaction time. we will see.

and yes, i was dragging my car with less than 1000 miles on it. and no, it isn't going to blow up. i wasn't even shifting close to redline when i made those runs that early in mileage. it's making more power now than it has ever before. i finally got 3000 miles on it and she pulls pretty damn good.
