evo steering wheel install

hey i just got my evo steering wheel. i wanna install it myself- dont feel like paying 75 bucks for a shop to do it. for those who swapped it themselves, did u guys need a wheel puller to take the wheel off or does it just come off with a little force? never done this before... is this something really hard to do or should i just go to the shop?

Just loosen the hex bolt until it slides freely and turn the wheel until you hear it fall clear of the steering hub. Then carefully turn the wheel back making sure it's nice and straight and just pull the wheel straight off. You may have to hit it gently, but it comes off quite easy.

Don't forget to unplug everything first!!!

it may just be that a wire that connects to the horn is not wedged into place this should be an easy fix but may mean you pulling it off again and securing it

cruise control wire? i cant see that being the problem because i can actually see the horn bouncing up and down when i'm driving. i'm not saying that couldnt be it as i will check, but i highly doubt it. anyways, does anybody need a stock lancer steering wheel because i got one for sale. its in perfect condition. pm if your interested.

Sorry, I misunderstood your post... my horn is fine, no rattles. Your wheel still has the airbag right?
