New Bumper and Paint just ordered this morning. The lady was like "Wow! We did not notice that at all."

I just was like Wow... You had the bumper off the car to sand it down and replace the headlights and you didn't see that?!

and yet you're still considering taking the car (and considering strongly from a couple posts back) only so you can trade it in? What happened to all of your bravado after my last post? Is this part of your secret legal strategy? It must be something along the lines of: have a bunch of clowns fix a car that nearly killed me, then drive said car until it does kill me and let my family fight with Mitsu about compensation.
Mitsu is what is wrong with automakers- problems are never Mitsu's fault, always someone else's (and that someone else is usually the owner). They just argue until you give up and figure that whatever little scrap they toss your way is better than nothing. Then the story ends up that, yeah, you had to argue with them a little but you grabbed 'em by the ***** and made them do a half assed job repairing a car that should be in a scrap pile.

Please, don't take this car.

hehe after they fix the bumper and add the stuff they "forgot" to put on the invoice it will be around $1000 over the limit where they total the car. All part of the master plan.

Your whole situation sucks man, as soon as i can afford it, i'm outta my RA. I love the car but dealing with mitsu, and reading about what others have gone thru make me not want to ever own a mitsu again. I miss my truck, and thats what i will go back to when the time comes.

Did you have any damage to the frame from the accident?

I see what you're going for. You should have no problem with that.

*Update*

I believe my insurance is in the process of suing the dealership / Mitsubishi. I drove the car for a few days and promptly returned it. It was making pretty heavy metallic scraping sounds when turning or hitting bumps. The steering was super loose with little to no deadzone in the wheel. I found a rather large list of problems.

They ordered a new front bumper a few days ago but claim it came in damaged or something. Now they are ordering several parts for the car but won't tell us what parts they are. They said "we'll call right back" and never got back to us about it.

Once my insurance company settles in court I will be purchasing a new car. I'll drive the free rental cars for now. Darn 2007 Ford Taurus leaks oil on my driveway.

I wouldn't. As much as I like their cars, their customer service leaves a LOT to be desired. Every time this thread gets updated, I'm amazed, disgusted, and angered by turns.

I'd be out looking at new Toyotas, Nissans, Subarus, or Mazdas.

^+1. Next car will most likely be a Subaru for me. Only way I see myself going back to Mitsu is if an Evo falls into my budget, but with that car I wouldn't deal with the dealership.

My list is:
2007 Subaru 2.5i
2006 Subaru WRX
2007 Mazda 3
2007 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V

Those are the cars I'm currently thinking about. Anybody else have any other suggestions

LOL, your soft....Mitsu deserves great respect as comparable to George W.

You have your local support group so a Mitsu just makes sense!

Yeah, the local support here is great. No worries, I'll be driving my RA until it blows up, or 200k miles, whichever comes first.

That is the list that I want. It all depends on what kind of price I can get and what my insurance works out.
