ralliart ac knobs

ralliart ac knobs

I was just wondering if anyone else on here had problems with there dash knobs that control the ac and heater?? Mine will not switch over to the red area for the heater and I have hear form a couple people that they have the same problem

You mean that it's hard to turn? If that's the case, there's a TSB on it. Take your car to a dealership and complain and they'll give you your options.

its not that its hard to turn its that it only stays on cold when I try to turn it to heat it just goes right back to cold and it wont catch the heater

it sounds like it wont even go to the red area for the heater, where does the knob stop. but i agree with otter take to the dealership and complain

how far can you turn it to cold? past the last setting?

it will go all the way cold but when I turn it to heater it will turn but it just bounces back to like half way into the cold

Sounds like there is a problem with the cable. Because of this, half way is probably now full heat. When you turn it past that, the cable bunches and pushes the knob back to the half way point. My bet is that when you turn the knob all the way to cold, it is not actually setting the internal mechanism to full cold. It's probably really only going about half way to cold. The cable goes down by your right leg under the dash. When you turn the knob, you can see the cable actuate the flapper. Check it out for any visible issues.

yeah, but when you go from 125 to 40 its feels cold for us in the dessert. :P

Once again, there's a TSB for the air plenum. Go to the dealership, it'll most likely be a warranty fix.
