Rrm Cai

I installed my RRM CAI today and so far im pleased with it. you can feel a increase in power and boy does that thing suck some air!!!!

a few things i noticed. after doing the work and then reconnecting my battery let it idle for 10 mins like the instructions told me to. I have noticed that my idle is about 500rpm normally it was about 1k. also it seems that the idle isnt as smooth, you can hear want to drop to lower rpm every once in awhile. is that normal?

Not really. This has been covered before, but a recap...

Injen CAI mounts to the TB with a hard tube, no flex. This over time can cause a crack in the tube. RRM's uses the existing intake tube which obviously can move around and allow flex. And trust me, our engine move ALOT and you need some kind of tolerance.

About idle... you should see mine! With UDP + flywheel + all that turbo plumbing, I prob idle just above stalling. It's smooth, but just one little vacuum leak, like I experienced a few weeks ago, and it's hard to keep it running at a full stop.

Yes, RRM's CAI goes down behind the drivers front fog light. The Injen CAI goes to the same place. I've had my Injen on for over a year and a half which is over 35K miles and I haven't had any problems. I also have a zaklee torque damper so my engine doesn't move as much as stock.

I also have a catless downpipe and magnoflow axleback exhaust. When I installed the CAI, the car would sputter out and stall at idle. After it dies a couple times, it holds the idle higher then drops it once in awhile till it sputters. After a few minutes of doing this, the computer adapts to the new mods and there are no problems whatsoever. This will happen to me every time I reset the ECU.

the CAI it great, but it's a pain for me to inspect / change the filter.

yeah got my magnaflow catback exhaust on it today and man does my car sound and feel super sweet. i can feel it just want to take off everytime i press the gas. I have to rate each one of these products with a 5 star rating. great mods, fairly easy to put on and you can feel the difference in the cars performance.

2 thumbs up for RRM!
