Here's a measurement of the Injen CAI. Mine's the manual version (if there is a difference).

2.75" is just under 70mm, so you'll be close at 2.75...a 2.5" would be too small...and 3" would be too big.

Hads down.. unless you live where it never rains the SRI is superior IMO.. I've dealt wityh them on many cars over the yrs.. and the nice thing is an SRI can usually be home made pretty easily and cheaply.. no need to pay $$$$$$. Welding on the bung is the hardest part and most local muffler shops can do that and other parts for you for about $20.

CAI Problems

I have mixed feelings about these things. I bought my Ralliart with an AEM intake. It sounds awesome but as soon it starts to rain really hard, there is some concern. The water drips directly off the headlight onto the filter. So I made a bucket that fits over the filter so it doesn't get soaked. What kind of shields have you guys come up with?

Yes...it's a direct fit without modifications needed. On the 04-06 Sportback/Wagon the exhaust tip falls about 4" short but is easily remedied by welding a small straight piece:
