Question Gauge cluster swap problem

I swapped my ralliart cluster for a 2003 evo cluster. Looks real good and was a simple 10 min job.As a bonus my car only has 35k miles now 1 problem..
When i start my car my antilock brake light wont go out. It wasnt on b4 the swap and now it stays on. I tried resetting the ecu with no luck. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this something i can get checked an cleared at autozone?
Thanks for the help

Looking at the wiring diagrams for each, they're VERY similar, but not exactly the same. This might be the sort of thing you'll just have to live with or solve by some other means. I don't think there's anything wrong with your ABS system, so resetting the ECU would have no effect.

Let me get some screen shots and post them up...

2003 Evo ABS light circuit:

2004 RA ABS light circuit:

It doesn't go into any more detail about what goes on in the RA's "CPU", but IMO, whatever the Evo cluster is looking for on pin 13, either ground or no ground, it's not getting it.

I have Evo cluster in my car and anti-lock WILL NOT go out, ever. I believe it has a different type of sensor than ours, so it looks at it as faulty, but of course it works just fine.

Welll, if it bothers you that much your only options are to pull the bulb behind it or cover it with electrical tape.

I always laugh when I see that my car is in "Tarmac" mode. I think only Evo IX has this (see pic below if you don't know what I'm talking about). Prob the closest I'll ever be to driving an Evo.

LOL I wasnt sure if the newer clusters would work because of that.
How much you give for that one?

I don't see why not... I don't think they changed anything. It's straight plug in and play. You'll just have the above mentioned issues.
