car stuck in limp mode?
My car is also in limp mode HELP
I just went out to drive my car after just coming back and parking it and it ran fine, but when i started it and went to take off again its im limp mode, only goes in reverse, neutral, and 3rd gear, i hooked a code checker thingy up to it and got codes p0605 and p0700 can someone help PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Yeah, i have no idea what is causing limp mode, i can't find reference to the codes, but if you can't shift, it's linkages because that's straight mechanical. That's what i meant by my last post lol. Limp mode can be caused by a lot of things, but i can't find those codes in the manual.

tina e, do you have an Automatic transmission? I found these.
P0605 ICM ROM Checksum Failure
P0700 Transmission DTC ICM (Watchdog Circuit)

I am having the same exact problem as you. I have replaced my complete fuel pump assembly, all of my spark plugs, both O2 sensors, new throttle body position sensor, I have a brand new mass airflow sensor coming in today, the new slave cylinder, I mean there’s so much stuff I’ve done to It is ridiculous. I’ve been looking around for a while. You could possibly be looking at your car being in limp mode. That’s what I’m being told. But I was also told you check my plug boots, and Cadillac converter as it may be clogged. Oh to clean out throttle body.
Don’t ask me what LIMP MODE is, because I’m trying to figure it out as well, but I figured I would try to share my information with you and maybe that will help you out even if you have a different years than mine.
PRAYING for your problem to be solved. Hope this helps…
