YES, and be very cautious. Keep your eye on that temp gauge an if it gets in the H zone turn it off ASAP, as long as your moving you'll be fine it's when you stop that it will heat up , best of luck

its the fan module, thats the problem, and theres absolutly NO reason to keep it out of commission till you get it fixed. end of story lol

I have only noticed my fan running loud once and it was a few weeks ago when my car was idling, I've been trying to hear it do it again but it hasn't. I guess i'll just have to keep my ears open.

So i wont mess up anything if i drive it? It gets pretty hot down here in va lol but we bout to be hit by the hurricane

If the fans aren't turning on at all , your car will heat up when ever you come to a stop. As long as you keep moving the radiator will keep cool but traffic and long lights could be a killer. Keep your eye on the temp gauge and you should be alright. Or if not .....

Ok so ive been driving it and been watchin the guage amd it hasnt passed a certain lvl yet which is very good. I ordered the part and got two day delivery so hopegully on friday ill have it. Now my engine sounds alot different now though, so is tht all due to the fan not working?

I got the part number earlier in the thread frok mitsubishiparts, i ordered it tuesday with 2day air shipping and still hasnt even been processed. Smh. But it just doesnt sound like the little engine that could lol. Maybe its cause of the module im not sure

Wait im confused:: is the control unit the same as the control module???? I ordered the control unit and the module is slightly higher than then unit. I need a quick reply cause the order is supposed to be placed tomorrow and be shipped

UPDATE: replaced the fan controller module and fan still does not cut on!!! What are other alternatives now that i wasted 80$$

Well, on the bright side at least you have a new FCM. I'd check out the wiring from the fans, that could be a likely culprit my friend

Turn your ac on to check if your second fan is coming on as well.

Did you disconnect the battery before the install?? You might have blown a fuse....
