Firewall hole

I am installing and amp and 2 subs but I ran into a problem: I can't find a hole in the firewall to run my power cable.

Can anyone please help me?

Thank you.

Passenger side, near the fender, near the top of the firewall, is a rubber plug on the firewall. Just push it out and you have a hole about, what, 1/2" to 3/4" diameter. A bit tight to get at, I also tried from the inside after I removed the glove box, that is a bit tight too but do-able. I used it to run wire from my oil temp gauge.

There's a big one on the driver's side, next to the fuse panel.

EDIT: I dug through several years' worth of pics, and only found one of the hole I'm talking about. Looks like it's right next to where the clutch master cylinder pushrod goes through the firewall.

It comes out inside the wheel well, behind the plastic fender liner. I ran my power cable into the fender, then through this hole, then along the kick panel where there was already a bundle of wires. From there, I just stayed along that side until I had to jog inward a bit to get into the trunk. I don't know if that hole would take a 4/0 wire, but it works fine for more reasonable sizes.

Are you talking about the one on the fender? That one is already filled with the wires coming to the fuse box, I tried to push it through there but it didn't go.

I followed your instructions and I did it. Once I took off the plastic fender liner everything was really easy. I was able to fit a 4/0 wire with no problems.

Thanx for you help!

Good to know that a monster power cable like 4/0 can fit through there.
