thanks for all your help and concerns!
Chances are your rear calipers were both shot/needed cleaning/needed a rebuild. The piston must not be retracting correctly, leaving the pad in contact with the rotor and causing the noise. Having a pro checking it might give you more infos.

@raikiri: thanks for clearing the height situation for me.

@xmaster: my mech is too busy to check it out right now so its going to have to wait til next week before he can fully check my car. Im happy with this car so far. The engine revs nice and doesnt misfire. The only thing i notice while driving is its hard to shift to a gear. Its not too too hard but its still not as easy as shifting in my 93 jeep cherokee sport. I need to get that checked out too huh. Im loving this car! If anyone here can come and see me to take a look at my RA, just let me know and ill drive over to u. I trust u guys more than my own mech lmfaooo!

thanks again!

I'm having this problem myself, you need to lubricate the shifter assembly. It should help with the problem.

I doubt it's the shifter assembly...more likely the cables, control housing, clutch, or internal transmission (synchro) problem...

The rear sag is common and is a combination or worn dampers (shocks/struts) and tired springs...should be level, or in my case with Tein S-techs, rear is low, and the front is lower...

which gears are hard to shift into? if it's all of the them, the clutch might not be releasing completely, or the shifter cables are stretched.

Well the rear sag isnt that noticeable unless u really look closely but its still sagging. All thr gears are hard to shift into, especially reverse :-( should i jack it up and lube everything in the underbody?

that won't do anything...what would you lubricate?

my suspicion is that it is control or clutch related...i would be very surprised if all the synchros were worn...i don't think it's the shifter assembly...

if you pay someone to do it, just replacing a clutch can cost anywhere from $600-$1,000...don't even get me started on a transmission rebuild...

start by changing the transmission gear oil, with BG synchroshift or Pennzoil/GM synchromesh...and go from there

dude, cars are money pits, doesn't matter the make model or year...

the clutch depends on a few things, but with my old clutch, i could press the pedal like an inch and shift flawlessly, this possibly means there is likely wear, and eventually would start to slip, as there would not be enough pressure on the clutch disc to hold onto the flywheel...but normally you would push the pedal to the floor or close to it, and you'll just get used to the engagement point when releasing the pedal...right now mine is somewhere in the middle of the clutch pedal throw...you should be able to feel where the clutch lets go, and grabs.

your problem could simply be old oil getting sludgy, and the synchros are not synchronizing...so change the transmission oil, and give it a couple weeks.

I did a search for "change transmission oil" but nothing came up. Is there a DIY guide somewhere? Please and thanks

it's short and sweet, but blackraven did a pretty good job on this one...

not sure if he mentions it in the discussion, but it's full when ithe fluid is level with the hole, you can even over-fill it slightly...
