Hesitation at 5k+

As the title says, when I'm WOT, at the 5k on Mark I get some hesitation the gain speed, then hesitation again. Just replaced the MAF sensor so I guess count that out, also need a valve adjustment due to ticking...also I just put in a serpentine belt yesterday but I think it'd done it prior to installation as well. P.s. as for the serp belt....it whistles like a spooling turbo at low to 3k rpm... Normal? lol

I can't scan/data log, noob here :/ and I have no idea how to do that (part of the reason I want to visit Canada this summer and maybe meet up) . And video, very well able to do I'll be back with the whistle, and hesitation.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I have a piggyback, disconnecting it will be a last resort option I suppose.

Okay well my camera isn't turning on so I ordered one. But something else is coming up...symptoms are coming up that are familiar to this thread I posted. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/04...blems-fix.html

When I hit the accel pedal, it moves forward but not as "powerful" as it should normally, and when I shift and hit the gas. The car jerks forward then smooths out. TPS?

Go an disconnect the piggyback, see what happens

Edit: well oh well wire going to engine MAF sensor was disconnected...let's see if it gets fixed..if it does I bought a MAF sensor for no reason -_-

It's rocker tick, need valves adjusted. And I just test drove my car, idk it doesn't hesitate..but it feels slow, like I felt like first gear took forever to get through.

if you have an android, or symbian smartphone you can get apps that datalog through bluetooth. the OBDII adapter can be found on ebay for like $15 and the apps are like $10-20...or the adapter comes with PC software so you can use a laptop that has bluetooth...much cheaper though less capable than a tactrix cable...i use OBDscope on symbian...

but it's hard for me to relate, cause my first gear happens so fast i don't even really use it cause if i have 2800rpm in 2nd i'm hitting full boost and the car hooks up better, first just gets me moving...but if it's noticeably worse, do a tune up of anything you haven't done recently, and check your plugs.

If you have the stock air box make sure the throttle cable is still hooked up right

I wasted my time and did the valve lash adjustment, most of it was too tight by a bit, just under the recommended. I put it to the middle and still the same old noise, too much hassle in my opinion, gotta hold the screwdriver tight and steady while tightening the nut and use an angled set of feeler gauges.

valves will sounds very loud, like whacking a table with a yard stick several hundred times per minute...
