When you first get in do you here the relays click? Next Apply 12v from the battery if the fans kick on its not the motors.. Where did you get the controller?

Sounds like you got a faulty unit. Do you let the car warm up with the new unit in? It won't turn on unless the car it hot. Put in the new one and let the car warm up. You may need to take a quick drive, but keep a close eye on the temp gauge.

The fact that the fans turn on when the old unit is plugged in leads me to believe that the fan motors are fine, you just haven't let the car warm up with the new unit or it's faulty.

My fan hardly ever runs, even now that we finally have some blissful weather with highs in the 30's. I need to leave the car parked and idling to get it to run.

When I first bought my ra the fan controller was toast so I hooked the fans up to the connector that goes to the controller to the fans the fans would kick on as soon as I turn the key and they would stay on after a while when turned the car off.. You can do this with slide on connectors if your fans do the same as I described it has nothing to do with your wiring/fuse/fans the only this it can be is the controller.. As roblaza stated are you letting it get to operating temp? And what site did you order it from?

Is it possible that I need to take it in the reflash or reprogram the fan module so my ecu could run.....I brought it off Mitsubishi parts

I didn't need to reprogram mine... Are you sure you don't have the connectors mixed up?
