selling vs further repair and mods

A little bit of a weird question, just looking for some opinions that are not my own.

I have a 2005 lancer ralliart, and I've done some things;EDIT-- also just put in EBC slottes rotors and redstuff pads all the way around- Act stage one clutch, machined flywheel, new master+slace clutch cylinders, new tein coilovers, aftermarket stereo, rebuilt tranny (all syncros and bearings) and a resonator delete 2.5inch downpipe back exhaust with a magnaflow straight muffler.

Having said all that, its just not fast enough for me, and I've considered boosting it, thought about it every day for the last few months. But more recently I've seen a few evo.8/9s around and, well I've basically caught an evo fever of sorts. What I'm trying to decide on, is to continue work on this car(buy a new front lip, attempt a turbo setup) or to sell this car and my 93 talon and buy an evo 8/9. Its hard to decide because I love this car, but I know ill eventually buy an evo, lets face it id choose an evo 9 over a ferrari.. and I'm thinking "why wait"

This is my question, feel free to post opinions but please don't be a dick.

Thanks!

bro, i say...KEEP IT--and if you want MOAR POWAH then go TURBO
then when you have some funds saved, buy an EVO and keep BOTH
that's what i would do

I say if you have the funds to buy an evo without putting yourself in a bad financial situation then go ahead and buy an Evo.

The RA is a fantastic car for what it is but an Evo is just a better platform. A turbo RA is still a one legger unless you pop and additional $1k for and LSD.

I am dealing with these same thoughts. But hey its your car. If you love it, keep it and go turbo. If you want an evo then buy and evo.

Get to a track for a non-competition trackday to play with your RA. It'll have enough power to thrill you and learn how to drive fast with. Too many cops on the street these days, so go nuts at the track. You'll have a new appreciation for how safely entertaining the RA can be at speed, and you'll be in love again.

I've driven my car enough to know its potential, but every time I pull the car I feel the need for more, I'm going to see what I can get for it, and go from there,

I know the feeling I was feeling these same thoughts very recently. The urge to pull faster in a straight line is always there.

But I love that I can take the guy with the highest HP number and the fasted 1/4m time in my circle of friends on a ride though some curvy roads and make him scream like a little girl. That feeling is priceless! And one of the many reasons I will always love my RA!

Not just straight lines, but I know what you mean, but its not like my ra would out-corner an evo. Idk, if I can grab one for around 14 id be ok, planning to find one in the us and bring it back, I've been researching it and it seems simple.

the import process is not rocket science, it is quite simple, but make sure you have everything ready to go, make damn sure the seller has the proper paperwork, and it can be a smooth process. I've researched it myself, I can't remember all the details off hand, but I too will be bringing an Evo to the great white north within the next 2 years or so. keeping the RA though
