E brake adjustment?
when you had the rear rotors off, did you get a good look at the brake shoes? the spacing between the bottom of the brake shoes is adjusted by the little splined/threaded spacer. the cable tension is adjusted under the center console.
brake shoe spacing is important too, if you just tighten the cable, your shoes will only require a longer throw to make contact, and you'll end up with uneven wear. also not a bad idea to inspect and replace rusted springs and retaining pins.
you are correct, these should be addressed. I am not saying tighten the cable and problem solved, both steps are equally as important.
