Just curious if anyone has had issues with the cruise control who might have some advice to offer. It hasn't worked in a couple years now and it'd be nice to have it back for long trips.
It started out as an intermittent issue and eventually became worse to the point where it doesn't work at all. When I press the switch to turn cruise on, I no longer see the Cruise light on my cluster lit like normal.
I've read other threads where people suggested checking your tail/brake lights etc, all my lights are working.
My guess is it's either the switch unit itself has failed or there is bad connector or broken wire somewhere. I suppose I should pull the switch and test the resistance between pins per the service manual.

 

are they LED tails?

 

No, just standard bulbs in the original housings.

 

my cruise indicator doesn't light up anymore, but the cruise still works, you sure it's on? like push the switch down to set, if it doesn't work, then push the on/off button, and then set again. i'll have a look through the wiring diagrams for you.


is the car manual or auto?

 

Yeah, I've tried that I don't seem to get any response from the switch. It's a manual.

 

could be the switch or the clock spring...
