Aight cool. Welcome to the EVOM site.

Yeah, if you can, that would be str8 cause I am curious on how it sounds.

My impression with the TC system that you wouldn't even hear a BOV.
Keep us posted.

I finally took a look at the stock BOV....it's a pathetic piece of plastic

can you explain why the air intake box block the BOV sound?

well let me answer that for you, the reason you cant hear the BOV is because just like in an evo 9 or evo 10 the BOV is recirculating it shoots back into the intake which is a plastic box and u cant hear much. So thats why if u want to hear ur BOV u have to get an aftermarket intake. But u can still hear ur BOV a little bit when u change that plastic BOV crap it has. also if u notice..the evo 10 exhaust is the same one as the ralliarts..so yeah..thats my next part that will be done. sorry boys.. i love cars as u can tell. my hubby had an evo 9 until he totalled it out in june. the BOV was a hand me down from his friends evo...

ps: go to my myspace and check out the pics. I have a nice one with my hubbys bike infront of it.

not exactly. you just move it to the trunk and get the same cable they use for the evos to hook it up. then u have all that free space where the battery use to be. u can move the parts around just like the evos. its the same everything. you can even get a smaller battery. you just gotta know what ur doing.

Why get a TT? It's a oil and water cooled turbo, therefore eliminating the need for one...

but the hose on the BOV is connected to the intake after the plastic intake box tho? or did you mean the whole intake system is plastic (not just the box)?

what she installed was not a bov it was a bpv(bypass valve). Ergo it doesn't make the WHOOSH sounds ppl are talking about

the hose is connected behind the air box and the air box blocks a good sound but we got a video of the BOV sound you can hear the BOV on the 2nd and 4th rev its okay

BPV and BOV are the same it just the EVO BOV or BPV will hold more boost and when you start up grading or turn the boost up you will not have a problem with boost leak or the plastic BOV cracking

actually I was just reading up on BOV vs BPV....they are not the same. What we have in our Ralliarts are BPVs which recirculate air back into the intake system when the throttle closes. On the other hand, BOVs vent air into the atmosphere thus making the whoooosh sound. And I think it's the spring stiffness that has something to do with boost leak but yeah if you're running high boost then a plastic housing may not be a good idea...

and oh your signature is pretty cool....but I would write it like this instead:
1 TURBO+2 CLUTCHES+3 DIAMONDS+4 WHEEL DRIVE+5 LETTERS MIVEC =100% HATER PROOF

haha
