I emailed J-ROD from Buschur last night asking him if they have any parts for RA. i hope so because I love there exhaust system they have for the EVO X

what kinds of negative effects will a VTA BOV have on my RA??

Will it also cause my CEL light to turn on?

that is apply to you too, dont you think?
Besides i'm in this field since 1998 with the EVo's. I had an Evo VI - VIII- IX and now the X./i skipped the VII. i moved to US/
I also was proud owner the Lancia Integrale HF and the HF Evo 2
I drove the Escorth Cosworth and the Celica GT4 Mazda 323 GT-R for a year.
So i have some base knolidge about the AWD turbo charged cars.
How about you? As a resume?

Thats why we let others pop them before us, to pave the way.

The only obsticles I see with putting a turbo kit on an RA would be the ultimate power capacity of the trans and the lack of launch control. Its already a bit slow off the line, and even swapping a larger X turbo or even a turbo kit would only make it worse. As development and testing with the SST continues, this may change.

Another problem I've found with the RA is that as of 2009MY, Mitsubishi's Parts Lookup System has gone online and no more updates of the CAPS software will include the RA. As of now, we don't have any way to access part numbers for the RA including which parts interchange with the X.

Hopefully I'll pick up an Octane blue one with the Recaro package by Friday. If so, you should hear from me about what AMS parts fit the car by the end of the weekend.

If the cago has a OB with Recari I'll fly out asap. Thats all I'm waiting for is that color/option combo.

Glad to hear that AMS is interested in working with the R/A.
I was wondering who else was going to jump on the wagon on trying to develop performance parts.
I personally think that power is going to come mostly from ECU tuning.
That one guy who had an MR from Socal area, that one guy who disappeared all of a sudden, DIRECTOR7, had a lot of performance parts on his car and it didn't seem like he had any real power gains...
But to Eric@AMS, if your copping the car, will your car be the one going through the tests?

It sure will. I am pretty confident that the car will respond to mods quite nicely. With the MR SST already holding up on a car making well over 320 hp at the wheels, I think we just need to find a way to make the car leave harder and making it a 12 sec. car will be very simple.

Launch Control?

YAY! fun! I'm excited to see what you guys come up with. The wimpy launch for the RA hopefully can be 'fixed'
