The intercooler piping is different from what I remember thus it's not as simple as just slapping on a new FMIC. Moreover, a larger FMIC isn't what the car needs.

I want to drive fast, and have the police think I'm driving slow. How do I pull that one off?

Where are the Bolt on upgrades like this for the RA.

More importantly, what parts are in the way to just bolt on X parts anyway? Are the posts / studs on the block different. Could you just bolt on a manifold and turbo from an aftermarket X company and run new UICP / LICP ?

What about exhaust? At what point does the design limit direct bolt up from the X's to an RA exhaust?

I would think the only thing that hinders using aftermarket X exhausts would be the hangers. I'm not sure if they use the same hanger locations. Once AMS gets their car a lot of questions will be answered. I, and i'm sure most of you, work during the week and have no time to be underneath the car messing around.

AMS did you guys get your car yet?

ok, please chill out, this car just came out

it will take time to figure out which parts are compatible with the X and which need to be developed.

if you do a search, you will find vendors requesting voluneers to do part testing/fitments

if this cars proves to be popular, we should have full line up for suspension, exhaust, braking, tuning parts within 6 months

now go on and volunteer to be a test piggy

Well that turbo should fit the Ralliart as well. You may have to purchase an EVO X exhaust manifold (if it's a different piece which we don't know) but the rest should be a bolt-on affair. Of course you would have to upgrade the intercooler and other parts but that's par for the course. Until a shop strips a Ralliart down we will just have to wait.

If you have to upgrade other parts to make it work, it's not a bolt-on part in the truest sense of the term. I've heard that catback exhausts are interchangeable but I'm not sure about the full exhaust, downpipe and all. If Mitsubishi felt like being dinks, they'd make the two different thus forcing you to do further mods.

Unfortunately I will not be getting the car as I thought I would be able to. Long story short is NEVER co-sign for a girlfriend. Thanks to her, if anything happens to my current car, I'll be rolling like those guys in the freecreditreport.com commercials.

Hopefully someone in the area will be willing to have AMS take a look at their Ralliart soon. We are working on the possibility of getting a Ralliart soon though.

Eric

What's your point? The turbocharger from the EVO will fit we just don't know if the manifold and downpipes will have to be changed. There's a good chance that they may be both the same making the swap a simple matter and even if you have to change the downpipe it's not like it complicates matters.
