And I think it's the spring stiffness that has something to do with boost leak but yeah if you're running high boost then a plastic housing may not be a good idea...
Can BOV's not be set how they vent, either to the atmosphere or back to the intake?

there is one one BOV called Go Fast Bits Stealth FX Blow Off Valve it can be set to blow off into intake or to the atmosphere or both it is $319.95. here is a vid they put the BOV on a EVO VII which is just like all mitsubishi's EVO's or ralliart's have to have the air blow back into the itake unless you drop about a couple of grand and redo the intercooler pipes have you BOV on the upper intercooler piper, and bypass the mass airflow sensor, like my friend brian.

Do not use the vent to atmosphere BOV, unless you have a stand alone, on the Evo engine.

If you want to hear the most desired sound /looks like it/ then get a Cone intake.
/Short ram/

Only BOV is vent to the atmosphere i would recommend, is the APS Dual vent .
But that is not loud . Only thing is good for the engine and the whooos is the open element intake set up.

The Mitsubishi is not a WRX and have a different MAF set up, which is very easy to disturb. If you will not vent it back /recirculate/, will cause hesitation, chocking, twitching engine respond when you lift off the throttle , etc.

So far the two best BOV for the Evo, is the metal factory one or the APS dual .
You guys on stock turbo will not exceed the holding capability neither of them .

true but the number 1 selling bov for EVO's that still have the MAF is the Go Fast Bits Stealth FX Blow Off Valve it has 3 settings into the air box, 50/50 and vent to atmosphere there is a video i post above they put it on a EVO VII no bogging and a EVO IX no bogging check it out

I told one of my friends that I want to get a BOV for my RA and he told me that I should get this one:

He's the owner of an Evo X so I would hope he knows what he's talking about.

What do you guys think?

just cause someone is an evo owner doesnt mean they know whats good for there car. i see EVO's here in SA with vent to atmosphere BOV's and they get smoked by RSX type-S stay away form Vent to atmosphere unless you can find one thats 50/50. i cant wait until AMS or Buschur start coming with aftermarket parts. I emailed J-ROD from Buschur last night asking him if they have any parts for RA. i hope so because I love there exhaust system they have for the EVO X

it was a hand me down from my husband who had a EVO IX but totaled it,the TT is a HKS but once agian I have to wait until the right connections come out for it or have some one who knows how to wire the ECU right but you really dont need one for normal daily driving unless you daily drive in high RPMS or race the daily.
