actually I was just reading up on BOV vs BPV....they are not the same. What we have in our Ralliarts are BPVs which recirculate air back into the intake system when the throttle closes. On the other hand, BOVs vent air into the atmosphere thus making the whoooosh sound. And I think it's the spring stiffness that has something to do with boost leak but yeah if you're running high boost then a plastic housing may not be a good idea...

Do not use the vent to atmosphere BOV, unless you have a stand alone, on the Evo engine.
If you want to hear the most desired sound /looks like it/ then get a Cone intake.
/Short ram/
Only BOV is vent to the atmosphere i would recommend, is the APS Dual vent .
But that is not loud . Only thing is good for the engine and the whooos is the open element intake set up.
The Mitsubishi is not a WRX and have a different MAF set up, which is very easy to disturb. If you will not vent it back /recirculate/, will cause hesitation, chocking, twitching engine respond when you lift off the throttle , etc.
So far the two best BOV for the Evo, is the metal factory one or the APS dual .
You guys on stock turbo will not exceed the holding capability neither of them .

I told one of my friends that I want to get a BOV for my RA and he told me that I should get this one:

He's the owner of an Evo X so I would hope he knows what he's talking about.
What do you guys think?

Nope was informed about that. What kind of turbo timer did you get? Got a link?

it was a hand me down from my husband who had a EVO IX but totaled it,the TT is a HKS but once agian I have to wait until the right connections come out for it or have some one who knows how to wire the ECU right but you really dont need one for normal daily driving unless you daily drive in high RPMS or race the daily.
