RA, What did you guys pay for it?
I just started this thread so everyone can post what they paid for it. Down payments they put down or any of that good stuff so that future buyers will have a chance to make a good deal knowing the prices.
I'm paying Canadian MSRP with the standard delivery charges. The interest rate here is 5.8% from Mitsubishi, which is marginally better than my bank would give me. I just sold my Protege for a disappointing $5k, and I'm paying off the car over about 33 months (three-year loan, paid biweekly from my paycheque). That's biweekly payments of $590.51 (it would be double that, or $1181.02, to pay monthly over 36 months).

2009 Lancer Ralliart (premium): $37,998
Actually, the premium is listed as a $5000 package, but the dealers are forced to order either the base model or premium, so it might as well be seen as a trim level.
Taxes vary by region (obviously), but there's a $1245 destination charge and a $250 pre-delivery charge (basically, some extra profit for the dealer), that bring the base prices to $33,493 and $39,493, respectively.
If your dealer has a base Ralliart listed for $35k range, then they may have done something pointless to the car to jack up the price. Personally, I would never be willing to rely on a dealer for mods, other than maybe wheels, and Mitsubishi doesn't seem to have any nice wheels for the Ralliart. The market certainly shouldn't require you to pay more than MSRP, but don't look for lower than that until 2009 (and maybe not even then -- the Canadian dollar is really tanking!)

They're pretty much selling at MSRP
