Question smart key idea

does anyone know if you can reprogram the smart key feature in the car and not the key. the reason I ask is cuz if u have a smart key then u notice once you turn off the car it remains running for 3 more sec. if we could extend this it would be like a built in turbo timer. idk it's just an idea

That delay is not related to the FAST key, its our SST tranny. Since our tranny has two clutches, there are two gears that are always engaged when the car is running. When you turn it OFF, both clutches disengage the gears and THEN shuts down the engine. This is to allow for easier starts, if the gears weren't disengaged, it could lead to some very hard starts.

As for what you're saying, it may be done - but it would have to be done through the SST's ECU. Which, no one has cracked at the time being...

Then we all agree that someone should look into it.

It would be entirely possible if a tuning company did look into it. But, they're not going to do it on their own - someone has to fund their R&D. It's much, MUCH, MUCH cheaper to just get a turbo timer instead of paying, say AMS or Buschur, to crack & reprogramming the SST's ECU.

Then again, I don't think you need a turbo timer in the RA unless you run full boost the entire time you're driving. Our turbo is so small!
