Hye guys wanted to start a thread to see how many people would want either a dual or a single setup, for the time being AMS only has a single setup thats almost done, how out there would want a dual setup?

I'd think that the dual tips is more of a visual choice. Wouldnt the point where the exhaust split be restrictive? I've always been curious about this, would u c even slight increase in effiency and power out of a single tip on the X?

i like single, because its waay lighter and... i've always felt it was weird to split one pipe into two for dual exhaust... i've always thought dual exhausts were best for v6's and v8s with headers and pipes going from each header. but thats just my opinion

Single should give you slightly more power than a dual.

I vote for single exit cause it is lighter than a dual exit. My only question is will someone fill the gap from the stock dual pipes with a aluminum plate or carbon cover. Plus having a single exit would be cheaper than dual, metal costs period.

I go for Dual. There are new materials that we can use for weight reductions or similar to single. As far as HP increase in single to dual is not much of a difference. It all goes how the flow restrictions allow. I may be mistaken but I never see any difference in between the 2. Also each of their own has preferences as well. As we know about the materials being available, I know the more exotic material we use, the more it cost. But in all honesty, who would use the cheap stuff?!?! As we all know that AMS uses good quality stuff. But we will all see what happens.

There is an ongoing debate about this on the X forums, and from as much as I've gathered...I really don't think there's a notice difference between a dual exit or single exit exhaust. Its purely aesthetic to the driver.

There is such a small weight difference between the two, and the Y for dual exit isn't as restrictive as some would think. Its your choice, if you're like me and hate having one exit, when the diffuser was made for two, than go for two. Else, if you can deal with one, go for one. Its entirely your choice.

Benefit to muffler with 2 exits?

Please help, dual or single???

I like dual exhaust. I'd like both exit holes filled. I prefer the somewhat oem look.

Dual ftw I want 3.5 inch tips or something to fill those exit holes up. Single is okay but I want good looks also just as jrox stated.

i think all the duals (i could be wrong) are 4" tips (as well as the single)

i dont really know what i want right now... i just want something cheap and light and looks OK... all that leads to single though. I like the buschur way of doing the dual though... keeping the muffler up further so you dont see it, you just see the tips.
