Do stock EVO's run with AMSes modded RA. IDTS.
It doesn't sit with the Evo, there is more to the Evo than straight line speed. You might as well argue that a heavily modified Civic is the same as a Ferrari.
Ask AMS if they think their RA is a serious competitor to an Evo at a track (or that they're in the same league), I'm guessing they'll say no.

If you can do it DO IT you will be so satisfied I'm telling you.
There's much more that goes into a fair comparison than 1/4 times. Imagine a stock RA vs. stock MR on a twisty track (similar sst to be fair). That's the fair comparison because that's what the cars are designed to do. I think everyone knows the RA wouldn't have a chance.

That is true but we have been talking about power all along.

now if you are talking about all around performance then hell yeah EVO>RA.

I still say the RA sits with the EVO in terms of all around performace RA handling is pretty good also. etc...

I wouldn't say it's not a concern. My brother and several other people at JMU have had their cars vandalized or stolen from this year. The vandals were drunk and were just bashing cars for fun. This a common occurrence on any college campus. Go search the evo threads and see how many people with evos in school get keyed/dented/egged or otherwise molested.

I'm not saying its going to happen, but its much more likely when you your car is surrounded by thousands of drunk kids every weekend.

My car is a DD but I can list at least 10 cars that could do it better if that's all I was concerned about.
If you can AFFORD a Ralliart as DD then it IS a good DD, it handles well, not too harsh of a ride and is Very safe, has AWD. PRICE is irrelevent for a DD, price is subjective, I can afford it, hell I can afford an EVO X if I wanted, now that I might agree is not as good of a DD, I'm guessing the ride is a bit on the harsh side.

I plugged it into AMA and got the Ralliart as coming out more expensive by 500$ or so a year. It does depend on where you go.

We're not talking about performance, you're talking about performance which isn't what someone needs in a first car.
You're absolutely naive if you think the RA sits with the Evo in terms of all-around performance. The RA isn't the top of it's league so does this mean the MS3, Cobalt SS and WRX all "sit" with the Evo since they regularly rank higher than the RA? It's a stupid position to take.

My point exactly. either way hes gonna pay boo coo bucks on insurance. So in that case why not get the RA if he's going to afford a new lancer.

Because the Ralliart costs significantly more to start out with and is more expensive to maintain. Why not buy a slightly used car and avoid paying out the *** altogether?

Again, power is but one facet of performance. So do you think a 92 Civic with 50000$ in mods sits with Ferraris and Aston Martins? You are clearly missing the point entirely.

you don't understand what I mean when I say SIT with an EVO.

all of these cars have the same objectives. RA,WRX, ETC. is performance based just like STI and EVO are performance based. I'm not saying these cars are just as performance ready as EVOs/STIs.
