i did it last December.. i financed with Toyota Financial...

+1 .. i totally agree. i posted a "matuity level" post already in this thread. NO ONE wants higher insurance rates!!!

I totally agree. Where I live, there are plenty of drop-outs or rich kids whos parents buy them a BMW and then they total it and get a new one. There are also girls who ride in Lincoln MKX trucks and Navigators and end up messing those up too. I dont support that crap because it just makes insurance for me more expensive.

Possible? maybe. Smart? Hardly.
Not even close, they actually lent me 19 cause i flopped 3k on my last car

So thats about $1100 a month just for you car and rent.
You living with anyone? That's some cheap *** rent (which is good).
That's like pay for a decent full-time job.
How do find find time for another job, for your other bills?
and school? how many classes?
geez, man it seems you got your hands a tad full.

A nice car in university is stupid, you'll be driving people places, dealing with door dings, learning how to drive alone, etc. A cheap car is far better, gives you more money to have fun and you're not paying out the *** in insurance.

It's not impossible, I've done it since turning 18 and I just turned 21 in feb. Granted I still live with my parents and I'm on a full ride for school. I pay my own insurance, phone, car, and food. I also work 2 jobs and go to school, and no mommy and daddy did not help me with the purchase. So yeah it's possible but it ain't easy by no means.

First car was a pos ford contour..... Horrible

Why don''t you go to a suby forum and tell everyone there that they shouldn't get a suby?

Why don't you go cause more accidents? The person is looking for advice, I've been through university and know what it's like. He's a brand new driver, an expensive car can be a real hassle when you're just starting out. If he asked if he should get a WRX, I'd say the same thing. This isn't about what the brand is, it's about the cost an nature of the car.

He said hes been driving for 2 years I think he knows how to handle a car by now. Hes gotten all the advice about this car already and if he wants it he should get it.

He's 18, he's been driving since 16 like *gasp* most people out there (the minimum age for a driver's license in Canada is 16). That doesn't mean he's ready for a car like a Ralliart. There is a big difference between "driving" for 2 years and actually owning your own car and dealing with all the things that come from that. 2 years is nothing and is ultimately a small part of why a cheap, slower car is better.

I don't whats your parking situation at your school. But i've been holding off getting a new car b/c of the abuse that a car gets being parked at school. People stealing emblems, door dings, drunks standing on your hood, etc. in my opinion it just not practical to have a brand new car at school

put very simple.....

eyz

The car has 200 whp stock (not awhole lot of power), it has great safety ratings, and its meant to be a daily driver with a little performance. It is meant for daily driving. If you are looking for a daily driver then congrats you just found your self the best looking daily driver out there for the price.

and if you have the money go with the recaro package it well worth it trust me thats something not to many other companies will offer.

If you want to mod it out then I would say hold off until you get use to that.

Even I haven't modded yet and I've been driving for 10 years now.
