09 RA for first vehicle
Look at the stats, young people are the most dangerous group and it's not a matter of numbers. The things I listed have to do with maturity, experience as well as the social attitude of the behaviour. In some countries, drinking is socially acceptable at a young age and children grow up knowing it is OK in moderation. In regards to driving, I agree with the idea that new drivers should be limited until they have more experience.
I've heard in other countries they take it a step further and actively restrict what you can drive, where, etc.
I don't think you fully read my post "I said mans WILLINGNESS to take risks and venture out to learn new things. Animals take risks only when in danger or for survival purposes not for sports.
I'm encouraging the kid not to be afraid to try new things. I think thats good advice.

Amby why does it always seem you get in a thread and cause a COMPLETELY off topic discussion within that thread . . . . just stating the obvious people that read this stuff does not want to go through pages of arguing IMO I could be wrong please tell me if i am so lets PLEASE for the sake of this thread get back on topic.

Anyways, the advice you're giving is bad. We're not talking about trying spicy food or a new shirt, we're talking about driving aggressively, as you did/do. That's not what you tell someone asking about a their first car.

lets just go on and get back on topic ladies and gents.
Seriously dude, don't put a jet engine in your RA unless you get a better wing and you know for sure that the track you take it to is rated to handle the engine!
Just to reply to the age factor: I didn't make myself that clear and I appologize, I have been driving for about 2 years, the RA would be my first owned car, not first driven one.
Loving the comments, thanks guys.

If that is the case then the RA should be perfect for you. AWD with proper winter tires will be a real asset for the winter.
) gas mileage is decent considering its a turbo car (on average 22-23 mpg)(its my first turbo car btw). Ive only had the car for about 2 months now and have no regrets.
