It not only depends on the coverage but where you live. If you live in Canada I wouldn't recommend giving ins advise. I'm licensed in 16 different states and not one of them is identical. In fact most are comepletely different in not only the way you're rated on but also what you're allowed to be covered for. I won't begin to guess at the Canadian laws, but I can tell you with 100% certainty, unless your insurace company has an accident forgivness program (which is usually only avail at a higher premium or with a certain tenure with the company) your rates will ALWAYS go up. Even in a "not at fault" accident.

I think it really depends on his specific insurance coverage and the nature of the accident. If you crash during the worst snow storm of the year, they might be more forgiving than crashing on dry pavement.

People getting mad when someone who lives in the same city as the OP and drives on the same road that he crashed on says that it wasn't gravel that caused the accident, but excessive speed. This of course turns into a "Amby is an SOB" as members who have only been here for a month start accusing me of bringing down the site and things of that nature. Basically a whole lot of BS.

"Allstate" insurance in the US offers new car replacement.. which is exactly what u said it is.. u wreck ur new car and u will get the new equivalence of that car. They also offer accident forgiveness which means if u get an a accident u will b fully covered and they promise not to raise ur premiums (you only get one **** up though 
lol). So what i think u are describing in canada is also offered here in the states but much much much more then just 5 dollars a month.
Now on a different note.. amby u have confirmed there is gravel on the far far far side of the road, so what i believed is correct..he was making a very hard turn at a very high rate of speed his wheels hit gravel while he was not in control of the vehicle, causing the car to make contact with the curb and the car flipping.. sounds about right
And please point out where i tried to bash ur intelligence, in fact i have defended u. i have been on this site for almost 5 months now and have not needed to start naming calling, i just give my opinion and defend it, exactly what amby does, that makes me dumb because of my experience on this site and <100 posts?

As I said though, the gravel is more or less irrelevant, he much have already lost control before he hit it and he likely would have crashed regardless of whether it was there or not. If he hit the curb hard enough to flip the car up and over, he must have been going quite fast.
