Damn dude I wish I had $20k+ to just "Oh hell why not? I'll take one!"

I hear ya, I walked into the dealership to buy my 09 Galant V6, saw the Ralliart, test drove it and was sold, so I walked out with 2 brand new cars instead of one. lol

If you guys don't get it, just don't buy a M/T car and let us enthusiasts be for Pete's sake!
I know you Canadians don't have much vehicles up there but here driving through NYC, i REALLY don't want to be bother with a M/T. We all have our reasons to just leave it be, am i saying manual's are obsolete? Hell no, i just have to drive through traffic a good amount and don't feel like dealing with the hassle. Maybe as a second car I would buy a car with a manual.

Anyway as i see it, we're just "man" enough to drive two clutches instead of one.

(Warning it was a JOKE don't get your panties in a twist).

Soo... you basically want to be the tool who street races at every red-light.... that's cool. To each his own i guess, but like most people here have said, minus one, the manual is not going to be obsolete.

That said I agree with what you said heh

Actually several of our highways rival the Biggest highways you have, we just have less cities then US. Quebec has at least 5 that would rival NY, Ontario maybe 3-5.

yeah... i've been to Canada... i'm gonna go with no here.

Also has it occurred to you that they are well traveled because there are less roads? Not to mention that site you gave gives absolutely no scientific data.

Ummm it gives the same thing as the site the previous poster listed the daily commuter traffic. How did I know that before I even looked up the sight? Because it's been on the news many times. It's the busiest highway in NA, and one of the busiest in the world.

Have you been to Toronto? Montreal? I've been to NY at least. I've been through many states in US (Never been to CA though) trust me there are no less roads for its size in Toronto then any other city in USA. You made a bit of a knock on Canada, (cause the poster that was insulting was from here I get that) I was just defending our honor :P

Well, i'm not going to just take that information without any actual studies.

I went to Montreal.

But what i'm, saying as a whole and outlying areas i'm pretty sure it's a safe assumption to say there is more cars and traffic surrounding NYC. For example Long Island has three main east-->west highways that total 8 lanes not including all the north to south highways, Cross Island Sagitkos etc. During rush hour they are all packed. That's just Long Island. There is a reason why there are several different ways to get in, and they are almost always busy.

Like i said ive never been to Toronto, but the sheer amount of highways around NYC that are almost always busy, i would think that there are more cars surrounding NYC. Especially when I-95 from Jersey is 300,000ish just by itself.

Anyway end rant, your right i was just being a smartass. My main point on that was that manual would be a hassle in the traffic i face every day. Just doesn't make sense.

Yep, thats true, wasn't paying attention, but either way, one high volume road means nothing, California's traffic volume alone is insane, not to mention, the 401 is a trade route, which pretty much explains the volume. Besides, Canada's population is around 33 million, the United States is around 304 million, I'm pretty sure there are MANY more cars in the US then in Canada.
