Exclamation Really pumped about 2011 RA!

I'm really pumped about the 2011 RalliArt! I'm glad I've waited... I was gonna get a WRX this summer because there was still no announcement about a manual tranny. Now I know I just have to wait a year and I'll finally be able to buy a M/T RA... plus all the nice stuff they've decided to upgrade it with!

Anyone else as thrilled as me by this announcement?!

http://www.autoinsane.com/2009/06/17/news/rumors/2011-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart-leaked-information/

After reading the comments, maybe it's just a rumor... I hope it's not though. It probably is just a way for Mitsubishi to still sell the 2010 model year and still let us know we can expect some new goodies on the 2011 model year.

Me, I just want a M/T... so the rest is not so important. Then again, all that I've read on there makes sense. Journalists have blasted the RA for not being on par with the WRX performance-wise... and a lot of people have been asking for the M/T.

I'm betting more on this than you are: I'll be suffering one more year in an SUV because of this info...

Was this ever denied BTW? I can't find any statement from Mitsubishi... so I suspect they like the idea of this info floating around and not confirming it until they've moved more 2010 model year RAs.

its all fake... i talked to a guy at MOD09 and the RA will not come in a MANUAL... because then it will kill the sale of the bigger brother EVOX and also... the evox tranny wont fit in the RA correctly.. so that means they will have to R&D a new awd tranny just for that car?? with do not make any sense due to a one off production just to make a manual RA

well that what the guy said!!! lol

I'm sure they could fit a manual in but this is just a rumor.

It seems to sums things up nicely, as always.

Let's give it some time then... I can suffer my 4X4 a bit longer I guess.

But yeah, if they come up with a M/T they've got me sold... but if not, they will still loose me to Subaru anyway. So this rumor is a good thing for them right now... at least it robs Subaru of a few sales this year.

I don't. It's not good for your health anyway...

I will hold on buying a WRX for as long as I can though... who knows.

The wrx is ugly and why would you want a manual tranny in a car unless you plan to race and burn clutches..?

Because real men drive stick? There's more to a clutch pedal than racing.
