Hello all; I've purchased a UR intake awhile back; so it's been some time now so I was wondering when should I clean it ? Or how do i clean it rather. Do I just buy a new filter cone? Anyone can tell me when I should clean/exchange cone filter and how please. Thanks. sorry for noob question.

If you want to be very careful with the car, clean it every few thousand when you change the oil. Otherwise you can do it every other time you change the oil.

Lot's of discussion about this in a few other threads. the bottom line is Y E S get a tune ASAP! Put your stock intake on until you can get a tune.
Don't think about it, do not pass go, do like Nike and 'Just Do it'!

It all depends on what your A/F ratio is now. Every car will be different, so you could be lucky enough to be within somewhat normal tolerances at this point, but you should at the very least go get your A/F read somewhere to see if it is in fact slowly killing your engine or you should take it off and wait until you can get a tune.

Any tuning shop should be able to read your A/F ratio, but probably won't be cheap I'm guessing. You may be better off just waiting until you are ready for a full tune and doing it then, as they will be able to tune it correctly regardless and then you'll get the improved performance and a safe A/F ratio assuming they do a good job. =)

what do you mean by a full tune? so does that mean i should buy all the parts first then buy the tune? or go ahead and get the tune now? IE. i was plannin to get ams fmic + boost pill and whatnot.

If you want to save money I would wait until you have the majority of the parts you plan on getting and then get the tune, otherwise you'll be paying multiple times for a tune.

So it helps to get everything on there that does not require a tune, and then save the last few remaining items that do require a tune until right when you are able to get the items and an immediate tune afterward. =)
