2011 RA New Options!!!
if the tires are really ur concern, just resell them brand new for 500-600 ish and get some decent SPT or GT Exclaim .. OEM tires "costs" the same price as performance tires brand new .. so might be able to find other Lancer driver who "likes" the OEM tires ... at least thats how i sold my set ...

i sold my set for 600 CAD with like 50km on it to another local GTS owner...
75$ is a "ripoff" .. cuz the dealer can resell them for 800$ (on tirerack they are selling 950$ a set shipped to Canada)
im just saying u "could" ... doesnt mean ull be lucky like me =)

That GTS owner is an idiot. I gave away the stock tires on my WRX because it wasn't worth the hassle of waiting for a sale. For 600$ he could have bought a set of Star Specs.
I guess i can't really know unless i had to live with both for an extended period. So i just have to make the best guess i can.
Anyone else have similar experiences? Or am i the only one here who prefers the GTS seats to the Recaros?

I was looking on Mits' website and saw that they have a new SUV/Crossover coming out and its got tons of new features that hopefully they put into the '11 or '12 RA. Fuse hands-free link system, one-touch engine start button, real time traffic, panoramic glass roof (I doubt) and the one I'd like to see "Super-wide range HID headlamps". I like my projectors but just wish they went a notch or 2 higher. I think the Fuse system and super-wide range projectors would be awesome to put in the 2011 model or 2012. They probably won't do any of these but hopefully.
Have u driven in an MS3? I drove in my close friends 09 MS3 literally 6 hrs ago and the interior is SO cheap. He even comments every time he is in my RA how cheap, plastic his interior is. Also in Canada at least Mazda isn't what I would call more respected, Mazda has one of the worst resale values and depreciates faster then almost any car up here, way worse then Mits. Also the 2009 Ralliart was awarded Top safety pick by the IIHS and 2009 Intellichoice.com "Best overall value" winner and best ranked navigation system by J.D. Power (better then BMW's, Mercedes, and those other higher end cars). I think its a pretty good bang for the buck, don't u?
Mazda has a better reputation in Canada than Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi has been in Canada as a dealer since roughly 2003, Mazda has been in Canada for decades. Hell, my dad takes his 1990 Miata to the same dealership that sold it to him originally.
Winning those awards does nothing to help them since Mitsubishi doesn't do anything to advertise them and they're not exactly prestigious awards. If Mitsubishi wants to increase sales, they need to get their name out and start producing cars that are truly exception. So far the only car in their line that does this is the Evo. Overall they make good cars but that doesn't help you beat the competition that also make good cars.

Default 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart update!
For those of you out there who wanted a much faster 2011 Ralliart, you're wishes are almost going to come true. I'm going to paste the story originally posted by another website below.
This information was given in a statement earlier today by Daniel P. Kuhnert (Mitsubishi of North America Marketing President)
Update: Mitsubishi has announced official upgrades and pricing for its 2011 Lancer Ralliart turbocharged AWD sedan. The 2011 Lancer Ralliart will come with a 242hp (258 lb-ft of torque) turbocharged four-cylinder - up 5 horsepower from the 2010 version of the same 4B11 engine. The 2011 model will also have an optional 5 speed manual transmission as well as a TC-SST dual-clutch gearbox. Pricing for the manual transmission will start at $25,190, and the dual-clutch version will start at $26,590.
According to Mitsubishi the new 2011 Lancer Ralliart will also be 90 lbs lighter than the outgoing 2010 model. The biggest change from 2010 to 2011 will be better wheels and tires. The new Ralliart will come standard with 18 x 8.5-inch Enkei wheels (same as in the Evo GSR) that will carry 245/40R18 Yokohama ADVAN asymmetrical performance tires, a change from the mild 215mm Yokohama tires of the previous model year. The 2011 Ralliart will also gain slightly larger fenders in order to house the new bigger wheels and tires.
Mitsubishi says that the new Ralliart will have a .5 second quicker 0-60 time, giving the car a 0-60 in 5.4 seconds (2010 model did a 0-60 in 5.9 seconds). Considering that the $34,990 rally bred Lancer Evolution GSR does a 0-60 in 4.9 seconds, the new Ralliart looks pretty impressive.

. OEM is expensive mediocrity, as least as far as tires are concerned.
